Thurman doing some damage control calling out Floyd after last night drama when he was saved by the bell.
Errol spence doesnt do it for me. He doesnt do any one thing extremely well - power is average, speed slightly above average, ok athlete, pretty straight forward fighter with low output. Not sure he could do anything to thwart a slick, fast, counter punch like Crawford. Not sure he could handle a hard charging mexican like Margarita, maidana or rios...those guys come along every five years. Not sure he could handle a fast, relentless volume puncher like Bradley,hatton,porter..guys of that style/talent come every five years or so. Reminds me of Lara, lots of talent ..but not to ever reach top level.
No one is really outstanding in the WW division and i can see any of the top 5-7 beat each other on any given day (except Floyd of course). Thurman is a top boxer and will pick up a title soon (against the right opponent), but it will be shared around and no one will really be undisputed. I'd probably put Brook number two in the WW division, behind Floyd. He seems to have the best overall skillset of any WW, but again, he will probably be one of the WW belt holders.
Thurman is good offensively[no knockouts last matches however],but...he cant take a punch and may be poor stamina. So who knows really. Brook on the other hand is even more hyped for some weird reason,he fought only poor competition in England his whole career, then went life and death with Porter [7-5 score like] in very ugly and full of clinches match, bit like Klitchko vs Povetkin minus the fake knockdowns. Also Brook is not some knock out artist like some brits or whoever makes him out to be.
Thurman is so over hyped, he will never beat any of the top fighters and with in 3 yrs he won't be around.
Most fighters that are destined for for big things, start doing big things in the ring at a very young age. Thurman looked like sh!t against a washed up fighter.
