It's now been formally announced that Billy Jo has split from Jimmy Tibbs and will be working with a new trainer in 2017. This seemed inevitable with Tibbs not in his corner, but does anyone know the real reason? I know Tibbs won't take any messing around so has Billy Jo not been pulling his weight? It's a shame, they seemed a good fit. He did look terrible last time out so can only assume the camp did not go well.

Intriguing to see who he now gets as a full time trainer, let's hope he's not with the corner men he had last time.

Tibbs was all wrong for Billy Joe. I mean Tibbs probably expected the waster to ...you know....actually TRAIN and stuff.....like, you know...an actual.....er...BOXER......

Tibbs knows BJS doesn't live the life and won't be a long term champ unless he changes. Guess he's left at the right time as he's done his job to get him there. Im convinced CEJ will KO him at present and that would be hard to take too.

It's been said already in this thread. BJS is like Fury and doesn't live the life. There's a reason he spends most of his time over in Marbella.

Tibbs has probably realised that BJS won't fulfil his potential and issued an ultimatum, at which point Billy threw his toys out of the pram.

I honestly don't know who's worse at the moment BJS or Eubank Jr. Both so disappointing.

To be fair I think Danny Vaughan gave him good instructions and in my opinion he should of been cheif second and not the cheif spit bucket holder.

Only Warren's cushy relationship with the WBO has prevented that belt from being stripped from BJS.

Agreed. Most overrated fighter we have.

People talk about him like he's a god! He's a fat LMW who loves the sound of his own voice, and is terrified to get into the ting with world class opposition.

The sooner he and CEJ disappear, the better.

this is probably MGMs doing....if not I would say Adam Booth would be a good fit for a trainer

Doesn't matter who it is. If you don't live the life no trainer can help you.
