The “Fight of the Century” between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao is only 17 days away, but tickets for the bout have yet to go on sale. It’s an unprecedented development for an event of this magnitude. Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe told Las Vegas’ Fox 5 KVVU that tickets would be released this week, but would not specify a day.

The MGM Grand Garden Arena seats 16,800, but less than 1,000 seats are expected to go up for sale. The rest of the tickets are mainly reserved for the casino, boxers, sponsors, promoters and HBO/Showtime. The list price on the tickets ranges from $1,500 to $10,000, but pricing on the secondary market is soaring even before tickets are released.

i have a feeling ellerbe/tmt is pre-planning on how to have floyd supporters have first chance of getting their tickets.

it will look like pac is fighting inside floyd's living room.
