    Who did that matchmaking for Gill? That was stylistically an awful opponent for Gill at this stage...a heavy handed, switch hitting, come forward Mexican, who threw with Gill rather than trying to time him. He knew Gill couldn’t put a dent in him and was happy to take a shot to land his own. Gill was hurt early on but he’ll learn from it. An early career loss never did Crolla, Haye, Degale or Lee Selby any real harm.

    Still think when you get pumped when 1/100 odds on fighting on a nextcan card, there is a gross overrating of a boxther.

    Similar to Lewis Ritson, he has been found wanting when a fighter takes it to them.

    Can after can then as soon as someone can walk through their punches, they fall apart.

    Only a few months ago Hearns outlined Ritson, Cheeseman, Fowler and Gill as future Headliners and PPV pudding sellers. All have gone down the gutter.

    There are dozens of interviews where Hearns says "with Joshua in the USA and Bellew / Hate / Groves retiring, this is the time for the likes of Gill / Fowler / Cheeseman / Ritson to be the next headline stars etc. Etc. "

    I'm not gonna dig through hundreds of clips to find them but he literally stated this so many times.

    Headliners yes, but as far as I’m aware not PPV.

    I know he has mentioned Okolie and Bustsi as potential future PPV fighters, although he’ll be having revise his plans for Okolie!
