Calzaghe is all wrong for Tiger. As long as Calzaghe stays smart he'll win a clear UD over 12 or 15.

That's the way you percieve it. I pick Roy Jones over him and several at LHW. Just not someone like Tiger.

He's really a great fighter, most people just don't understand this to the fullest, he's way out of Tiger's league mate. Would you pick Tiger over Roy Jones Jr?

H2H, Calzaghe is up there with Roy, I'm serious and I am not being biased.

It's so much more complicated than that though. Tiger is the type of guy who is basically going to beat any brawler you put him in there with at 160/168 but Calzaghe has his number, it's a question of styles.

It's basically impossible for Tiger to beat Roy Jones.

It's basically impossible for a brawler to beat peak Tiger.

It's not really much more complicated than what I said. Nearly everyone is at a stylistic disadvantage against Calzaghe, except for guys like Roy Jones and then very long heavy hitters like Bob Foster at LHW.

So here is your graph -

    At 168 -

Calzaghe > Everyone who is not Roy Jones Jr.

    At 175 -

Calzaghe > Everyone who is not Roy Jones Jr, Michael Moorer, Bob Foster and Michael Spinks

Calzaghe who brutalise Tiger so badly that it would be hard to watch.

It is, from the point of view of class. I get the impression you don't see Tiger as being anywhere near Calzaghe's class, which he is. But as you say...

...but more because of their resepctive styles. Lacey is actually not a bad comparison for Tiger, though i'd say Dick is superior in every way.

Calzaghe might beat Tiger, but brutalize him? Not a ****ing chance. Tiger was far too strong, far too tough, far too hard punching; Calzaghe wouldn't be able to afford to set his feet and find the punching angles to mount a damaging assault on Tiger. He'd probably try it early on but he'd soon realize he can't crack this cookie, who was very quick in his own right (any argument that Calzaghe could dart in-and-out with hard combinations can be thrown out the window - Tiger would catch him).

Lacy-Tiger is a terrible comparison. Lacey was a fool who didn't have the experience nor speed to compete with Calzaghe. Tiger was tighter, smarter and much quicker.
