ill conceed that one,but what about freitas, castillo, and corrales 2? all big, close fights that could of gone either way.
I think DLH... - beat Whitaker, close but clear - beat Trinidad convincingly, 116-112 - beat Quartey, close but clear - lost to Mosley I fairly - beat Mosley in the second fight clearly - got the decision wrongly against Sturm - lost to Mayweather fairly, but it was very very close Close decisions: 7 Correct: 4 (Whitaker, Quartey, Mosley I, Mayweather) Incorrect: 3 (Trinidad, Mosley II, Sturm) Incorrect decisions: Trinidad- Loss, Mosley II- Loss, Sturm- Win. Therefore IMO, DLH lost out more to wrong judges decision than he won, 2-1.
I agree that Dawson beat him, but it was a close fight, and there's a pretty decent argument that Johnson won (i.e. if you scored all the close rounds in Johnson's favor, then Johnson would have won - Dawson didn't clearly win 7 rounds).
Hopkins- Taylor and Calzaghe DLH- Trinidad Whitaker- DLH and Trinidad Johnson- Tarver 2nd fight, Woods all 3, Dawson Katsidis- Diaz..........Sike!
Oscar De La Hoya both ways by far... -Pernell Whitaker (i'm not sure but from reading posts it seems many ESB members feel whitaker had won) -Ike Quartey (split decision) -Felix Trinidad....lots of people on both sides of the fence -Shane Mosley 1 & Shane Mosley 2 -Felix Sturm -PBF I agreed with most of the decisions for and against De La Hoya...But as far as tight losses and tight wins, ODLH has to be near the top for modern superstar boxers
