just keep in mind that canelo was only 20 or 21 when this happened...
he is now bigger, stronger, smarter and more experienced now after fighting the likes of trout, floyd, lara, etc..
and by the way GGG said canelo is the best fighter he has ever fought or sparred...

This is exactly what i've been saying in my re-assessment of ggg-rubio ...ggg is slow. he's also very hittable as rubio showed...and the thing is rubio is slow as well, but he was able to tag ggg without any problem. ggg has problems with speed and quickness. also, look at ggg's response to getting hiti n the rubio fight. he covers up or clinches immediately. as he starts to face a better quality of opposition, all those flaws will be glaringly exposed...for now, ggg is fortunate to be in a very weak division...but if he sticks around another year or so, things will change. i give bradley and cotto a good shot at beating ggg...this is because they can move, box and have speed and qjuickness far superior to geale, rubio, adama and macklin.

i think ggg is actually on the decline....a year ago he seemed much sharper in the stevens fight. he looked faster and had more snap to his punches and moved more fluidly. against rubio he seemed to be showing signs of aging (slowing down) and too easy to hit. in a year or so, he'll be slower....just when the competition promises to get a whole helluva lot tougher.

GGG is better than Canelo, and more skilled. For starters, GGG actually knows how to cut off the ring.
