Hard to know why he would not fight Khan. Maybe he is waiting for Khan to struggle since Khan is building momentum and looks good.
I don't like Bradley's attitude here. However, if he can sign with Top Rank, he'll get a fight with Pacquiao. If he signs with Golden Boy, he'll get a fight with Mayweather. So he can decide to not fight Khan and still get a nice payday with the big two. Or he could fight Khan. If he wins, he gets an even bigger payday against the big two. If he loses, he'll have to wait longer for his shot. I think this is a case of Bradley's manager convincing Bradley that the money is the only thing that matters and is telling him to go for the guarenteed payday. It helps Bradley that Khan and Pacquiao will probably never fight eachother.
I think so too, some 147 guy for him to look good against then match him up with pac in may( still not sold on floyd vs pac happening next).
Take the guaranteed 1.2million to fight anyone, stay undefeated. Make himself sellable to Pacweather - he won't be if he loses Bradley also needs to let his contract with Shaw expire otherwise he'll get financially butt****ed It all boils down to risk reward
Mayweather and Pacquiao are booked up this year - the earliest Bradley could get either is next year and even then we have to presume they would be interested in fighting such an anonymous boxer - which is a stretch. Bradley could fight Khan in December but he won't, even though Mayweather or Pacquiao are not available. So it's obvious he is scared of losing to Khan. Otherwise he would take the Khan fight on the assumption he will beat him and then look for a Mayweather or Pacquiao bout, when they become available. Does anyone hear Khan saying 'I don't want to fight Bradley, I'm interested in Mayweather' (which is lot more likely than Bradley fighting him or Pacquiao)? No, Khan is not saying that because he isn't scared and wants all four belts. He's happy to fight Bradley and then look for Mayweather. I'm not even a massive Khan fan. I dislike the way he is quite arrogant and Hollywood now but still pretends he is the same kid off of a Bolton Street. But what is happening here is obvious, Bradley is scared and a ducker.
honestly as a fan i was disappointed. he should have taken the fight before he spilt with shaw as he is going to be sitting on the shelf for a long time now with legal bs
If Bradley fights and beats Khan he gets an automatic shot at Pacquiao. I dont understand his logic, unless he truly believes he doesnt have a chance of beating Khan. Never liked his style anyways. Oh well.
Bradley thought that in the 140-lb face-off he'd beat Alexander, and then Maidana would crack Khan's chin. Then he figured he could outpoint Maidana, unify the titles, and be the undefeated, undisputed JrWW Champ. He could then leverage that for a fight with Pacweather. Unfortunately for him, that's not how it went down. Khan won against Maidana, and he's been steadily improving as well as growing in size & strength. Bradley sees this and knows that Khan would be by far his toughest match, especially with those T-Rex arms he's got. The answer? Duck like hell & hope that either Pac or Mayweather give him his payday (imo, not likely to happen... at least not right now).
Bradley isn't Floyd's type of opponent. $ likes someone coming off a great victory and is easy to sell. Keep that headbutting melon in the clouds, timmy. We've seen emmanuel take on a Clottey before, so I hope he doesn't make this his next idiot for hire.
And another thing, I don't understand people who say "they shouldn't fight now, it's too soon, look what happened with Bradley & Alexander". What exactly happened with Bradley & Alexander? One guy unified, what's wrong with that? Just because Bradley won doesn't mean I wouldn't wanna see these 2 get it on again, even in a couple years at 147. Hell any combo of the top young guys at 140 I'd love to watch two or even three times! Have Khan fight Maidana again in a couple years, that'll be great! That's one of the problems with boxing these days. The best aren't fighting the best, and that 0 means too much to people. I don't care if a boxer has 15 losses, as long as he brings a good, competitive fight every single time!
That guaranteed 1.2 million is only against a top LWW. Not just "anyone". By your own post there, that's a duck.
