Well Bradley is an increasingly big name. Pretty much recognized as the man at 140.

Devon is a great fighter but I think there's a good argument that he needs another fight against a top 140 guy or semi-big name fight before Bradley. Urango is not enough. Someone like Paulie, JMM, Hatton if he came out from retirement. Something to build on.

Because the fact is, Bradley is at that point in his "stardom" where he MIGHT be able to score a fight with one of the big WW names (it would at least look very good on those guys' record to beat him). So it's not shocking that a fight with Alexander isn't first on list.

It doesn't mean Alexander is being "ducked"...it's just the way people organize their careers. Everyone would like to see Alexander-Bradley because they are both incredibly skilled and talented, however I'd like to see it in a fight or two from now instead.

Bradley has the rare chance to build himself up as an undisputed champ and future PPV draw with just two or three more fights at 140 against Devon, Khan or Maidana. It's such a shame that after all his efforts to make a name for himself, he stops short and becomes a businessman obsessed with risk-and-reward ratios. Fight 2 of the 3 and the rewards will follow.

At present, Bradley is still nowhere near within the radar of the big WW names. Shaw was pissed off at Arum for suggesting this, but this is the simple truth. They needed to face Devon, Khan or Maidana to build him up more. Facing Abregu simply won't do.

Well,if Bradley wants to get Mayweather Jr's attention, what better way to do it than to beat Alexander...A fighter that Floyd Jr himself says will take over as top dog when he is gone from the sport.

Obviously Mayweather Jr thinks very highly of Alexanders skills and ability to become the next best thing after he is gone.

Honestly fellas......this ain't new. Tim is chasing the MONEY! He's less worried about BUILDING a foundation and taking RISKS that could make him miss out on other money fights. Tim wants Devon to build a bigger "brand" by continuing to win and he'll do the same. Then hopefully when the dust is cleared there will be a BIG fight to be made between the two. I don't like it but it is what it is.

think about it lik this, if bradley vloses to floyd or pacman, he still keeps his title because he is fighting at a higher weight, he will make more money, and because h lost to the two best no one will say he is overrated or a hypejob. whereas if he fces alexander the exact opposites would hppen. les money, loose title and apparently be exposed by th nayayers

Bradley is definitely ducking Alexander, I honestly think Bradley is the better fighter of the two but but his ducking makes me question this, very similar situation to PBF and Pac.

The problem is that Bradley's claim to being the man is based solely on that he was the first of the young guns to start clearing out old talent...but Alexander and Khan have been catching up resume-wise to stake their own claims, so I don't think anyone can be recognized as "the man" at 140 until one or two fights amongst the top young fighters materialize. Holt, Witter, and Peterson are good wins, but none of them are superfight material, nor are they head and shoulders above the other guys top wins.

Bradley has a slightly better claim than Alexander and Khan, but it's not clear cut enough to suggest he's earned the right not to fight those guys and still call himself the man. This is assuming Pac never fights at 140 again of course, otherwise the entire discussion of who's the man is a moot point.

i see alexander as the #1 LWW, his skills are amazing and he is now developing power.

bradley wants alexander to build his resume?

alexander hasbeaten chop-chop, witter and urango. bradley has beaten witter, holt and peterson.

i think alexander has a better resume. and think he is the better fight. talk or ducking is premature tho, as always.

Devon nd Timmy shouldn't fight just yet. Let those 2 standouts attempt 2 clean up da division then fight eachother 4 all da marbles, herbs nd free-range organic chix...
