Those are my thoughts on the situation, he has taken very risky fights and always been a warrior, this is merely a business move, and in my opinion, a smart one.[/quote]

If he honestly thought he would win there wouldn't be a problem. Ducking Khan is not a good business move. Where has it got him? Fighting khan would be a smart business move. People want the fight, its the top 2 LWW's, best payday, he'd get the exposure he needs and if he won he'd be in a great position.

That's because people can beat Clottey.

Look at Winky Wright or Martinez. Nobody wants to fight them because nobody thinks they can beat them and that is what would happen to Bradley.

Tim Bradley has nowhere else to go in my personal opinion. It is just a question of time so that he realizes that he has to take on Khan, Even if Khan loses another big fight north of the LWW Division he still has the means to come down and Bradley can't deny him. Why? Simply b'cause that is what happened with Devon Alexander... He ducked him, Alexander beat Witter and Urango and Bradley had nowhere else to go after having taken Holt and a knockdown and that no-decision with Campbell. Therefore he has to take Khan because Khan stepped up the level by facing and beating Maidana and Judah... And yes, I agree that Tim is afraid of coming back from a loss and he knows Khan may well outbox him and even more so than Alexander could... It was Bradley's own words post fight with Alexander " If you let him be, he boxes you to pieces..."

Not wanting to fight someone because he is a risk.

Isn't that pretty much the definition of ducking in boxing?

its a duck, he sees khan as a real threat

he knows if he loses his piggy bank fight is out the window

    and he wont fight khan

so he must be afraid to fight khan

weird cause a small draw like bradley can only attract big draws by becoming one

beating khan is the only way to up his status

a pac or floyd fight wont fall in his lap

beating khan would make him valueable

or if he had dazzled vs Alexander

His whole reasoning for not fighting Khan is that IF he loses the fight, he's out of the running for a Pac fight.

So yes, he is ducking. The whole reason he's not fighting Khan is because he doesn't have the belief that he can beat him.

If Bradley wasn't scared of Khan, he'd fight him, become the undisputed #1 at 140, a bigger name, earn a career high payday and put himself in an even BETTER position for a Pacquiao fight where he can bring more to the table and ask for a bigger slice of the pie.

He knows Khan would beat him. That's why the fight isn't happening, not for any other reason.

Too bad for Bradley that Floyd and Manny have no clue who the hell he is.

Bradley's a very good fighter, but he's not THAT good.

I'm glad you mentioned Wright, though. Winky also shoots himself in the foot by choosing inactivity over fighting. He's had the chance for many more big fights and great paydays than he's taken, like turning down $5 million for a Taylor rematch because it wasn't 50/50. Apparently Bradley and Winky are convinced you can make more money sitting on the sofa than by fighting big names for a little less than you think you're worth.

I don't know what Looney Tunes school of business they went to for that economic logic, but there ya go.

I haven't seen anyone mention that HBO has guaranteed him a million for his next fight against presumably a top 10 opponent which isn't much less then he'd get for fighting Khan which is also a big factor in him not taking the fight so blame HBO on that one.

Does anyone really think that if he didn't haven't this guarantee and didn't think he had a realistic chance at a lotto fight against Mayweather or Pacquiao that he wouldn't fight Khan? This is a business decision, period.

    :deal

People are quick to label without actually pausing to think.

Anyone who really believes Bradley is scared of Khan basically has their brain switched off.

I believe he has every intention of fighting him...once the pot fattens up.
