I used to like Bradley but I feel he has gotten worse since Ward left. I think having Ward on there balanced the broadcast with 2 fighters. Now Bradley has to fill the void by talking more and it has not been good. I also feel Tessitore does not add that much either. I know Lomachenko won every round with ease but it got cringey listening to them
Tessitore offered no analysis.. other than brown nosing Lomachenko. Lomachenko shutout, but damn.. how about some prosepctive future opponents for Lomachenko talk.
I like Bradley and thought he was a nice addition years back but these days he’s just really not cutting it. I don’t know what happened that’s made him a more unpleasant commentator but there definitely needs to be a change, a replacement, or a third man to help make these fights more tolerable to listen.
It’s sad because I once thought Bradley was okay and hoped he would improve. Unfortunately he’s regressed and is unlistenable. Ward was never good and I’m glad he’s gone. He’s like Floyd, every scenario is an excuse to talk about himself. The state of boxing commentary is as bad as the state of boxing politics. Bad and getting worse.
Never liked Bradley. Just seems to talk nonsense and act like what he says is fact. Is it that hard to find a good boxing announcer?
Like others have said, Bradley needs a third man. Someone like Al Bernstein, an experienced boxing journalist who really knows the sport.
I'll take him over that phony smug narcissist creep Dre any day. At least he's a genuine nice guy not a fake one. That being said, he's become annoying and just hard to listen to in the commentary seat of late. I think most commentators are generally bad and/or annoying. I have a very low opinion of them. Manny is my favourite and there are some actual decent or good ones out there who occasionally do commentary work who are much better than most of the regular ones we have and their services need to be enlisted a lot more.
Bradley is my least favorite commentator in a day and age with weak commentating teams. He has two good points on a broadcast and the rest of the time he's either annoying, wrong, biased, stubborn or a combination of those traits. I went back and watched Tyson-Douglas recently and was refreshed to hear commentators actually call what's going on and not being biased against the A side or going on some rant that has nothing to do with the fight. If the 2024 ESPN crew called Tyson Douglas they would have Tyson ahead at the time of the stoppage and wouldn't of noticed Douglas winning until like the 7th round while talking about whatever fake drama they concoct before every fight to give it extra "drama" The DAZN crew isn't good either, but not as obnoxious (for the most part) as the ESPN crew which actively takes my attention away from the fight with their "insight"
