    best post I ever read...

I see nothing but Mayweather would kill this guy. nothing but disrespect after going life and death with prodnikov.

timmy's got the best resume in boxing.

he's arguably had the toughest 2 fight stretch one can ever imagine

    Agreed!

In my book this fight should have been more about Provodnikov's coming out party than Bradley.

On a side note; Boxers owe the fans nothing! The same ******* fans will call you a warrior in one fight or a series of fights then when your punch resistance and neurology is shot and you bow out early, the same fans will call you a ***** and a quitter, while their fat asses are getting high on their mother's couch.

The absolute worst thing about being a fighter for me would be having to attenend these wretched press tours and conferences, being patronized by trash that simply want you to overreact to a loaded question or sign some bull**** they will only turn around and try to sell.

    **** em' all to Hell...

So taking a beating vs. Provodnikov is better than an easy, decisive victory over Provodnikov? :nut Getting your ass kicked enhances your resume?

Please. Let Mayweather allow himself to get beaten up like this against Guerrero and see if he's paid the same "respect" that people are crying for Bradley to receive.

oh please enough with the whining. Bradley was suppose to destroy this guy and ends up not winning the fight but getting the nod. Ends up in a freaking ambulance. Was mouthing off big time before the fight how he was 'gonna stop this guy' then gets beat to he!!.

    Typical whiner.:|

Agree great post, apart from the fact Bradley is a natural 140lb, he's more of a natural welterweight, he's a big fella. But the booing of the guy is ridiculous, so-called *******s, *****s are nothing but trolls

Bradley showed a lot of heart on Saturday and did well

Just what I was going to say, Bradley has had nothing compared to Khan who has got **** from pretty much day 1 of his career!

He got beaten up and survived the final bell to win on the cards.

He's not the first. If he wants he can redeem himself in a rematch.

Whining on a message board will do nothing to help the state of his career. He needs of string of virtuoso performances to alter the perception of him, and I'm almost certain he does not have that it in him.

He wanted the big stage; skipped over just about everyone at 140 to get it.

Time to perform or continue to get booed off of it.

Turning himself into Mickey Ward is not the way to go about doing it, though. He's held to a much higher standard.

    Making excuses ?

Timmy took a knee in the twelfth.

This compelled the judges to score it 10-8.

Two ten eight rounds but only one registered on the cards.

Not a robbery (close fight) but definitely a gift.

Not that it counts for anything, some (unofficial) judges score the rounds on the basis of which fighter they'd rather be at the end of the round.

By that measure, and taking the fight as a whole, I think most observers would have little trouble picking a winner.

For the record, I thought Tim showed a lot of balls in that fight, all the way through. But not a lot of smarts. He's a slick finesse guy and he should have boxed, not brawled.

Prov would kill him in a few seconds in a street-fight, so Tim should have stuck to his strengths.

If they have a rematch, I expect Tim to fight differently (Leonard-Duran 2 ?) and possibly get a clearer decision.

Then again, he may have been permanently damaged. His next fight will tell.

i agree with this. the opening post is almost garbage to me. bradley did not fight a war for boxing fans. he fights that way all the time. if anything he moved around more than i ever seen him. he was trying to keep distance in the fight from the opening bell.

Well stated! I would probably post more if others shared the same appreciation for the sport and displays of heart, such as the display of heart that Bradley gave us this weekend.

As it stands, I'm fine with being called an alt and not participating in the majority of bull****.

That's the OP's style. He is long winded and self riteous, in desperate need of upholding the status quo. not unlike the climate in his homeland.

I still can't believe no more than a handful of people have called out the OP for stating Ruslan's the much bigger man. That was and still is a ridiculous claim.

I can understand if one agrees with the general principle of the post, but using bull**** like that to prove the point, or that Bradley somehow is thinking of the fans when he's neck deep in a war and fighting purely on instinct, is just poppycock.

I have to say this is quite a bizarre thread. When fighters get lucky decisions they all get criticised for it even though they played little part in the end decision. Bradley is no different. In recent years he’s actually benefitted greatly from the establishment. Didn’t he have a very generous deal with HBO which he didn’t stay true to? Back when he signed up to fight Alexander and the Khan and Maidana winner. He ended up skipping (avoiding Khan) that to remain on a safe course to a hopeful Pacquiao fight over a year later. He then gets a gift decision from that and decides to then reject Alvarado and Peterson making him inactive for almost another year.

I like Bradley and was a big fan of his during his better light welterweight days. But in recent times he’s made decisions that he can only blame himself for. Not the establishment. I can think of fighters who have recieved far more harsher backlash from the public and there wasn't a call for them to be spared.
