I literally posted a quote about why it was banned. It was banned because it isn't safe. Nothing was said about masking PEDs or it being used as a masking agent. Athletes have died from using it, and it is not considered safe. Hence it is banned.

Caffeine is another ergogenic aid. It was actually banned for a while, then lifted with limits. The effects of DMAA are very similar to drinking a few cups of coffee. Are you discounting the effects of coffee too now? DMAA is an ergogenic aid.
