For me, people are hopping on Bradley's dick a little too early. Bradley stil has so much to prove. Let's talk after he's fought Alexander, Khan, Maidana, Ortiz etc. Not too long ago Hatton was considered the best at 140 before losing to Pac. These dudes have popped up recently and it's not like any of them have been dominating the division for years.

I'm not even a Ricky Hatton fan, but the thing is, people forget how good he was. People hold it against him for getting knocked out against Floyd. The thing is, Hatton won more rounds against Floyd than Shane Mosley did. Yeah, Mosley was past his best, but Hatton was moving up in weight. People wanna forget that. So he got knocked out? So what? Would it have been better if he'd ran the last few rounds in order to survive? Nah, he went a bit "gung ho" and got Kayoed. He's not the first fighter to be outclassed by Floyd. As for the Pac fight, well what can I say? My boy is just that damn good. People are letting their personal feelings for Wicky affect their judgement.

I'm just saying, I think people need to cool down on Bradley and also realise that getting knocked out by the two best fighters doesn not make Ricky Hatton a crap fighter. Once Bradley's cleaned out 140, then by all means ride his dick like there's no tommorow, but cool it for now, cuz he's not done ****. He's just one fighter in a talented division, and in the end, the fights will tell us everything we need to know. Right now, look at his record, it's not special.

And your telling me that Kendal holt is a bigger puncher than Hatton? Dont get me wrong, Bradleys gonna whoop Alexanders ass on the weekend, but thats cos Alexander cant fight on the inside. Khan can and hes a lot faster and stronger on the inside than bradley. Hatton would just smother bradleys work and stop him

Ummm....yes, Holt is a massive one-punch KO artist.

Problem is the mental side. He often appears lackadaisical in the ring and loses focus. I think Ricky is a far better fighter, but you said Bradley didn't have the chin to last with Ricky, which is utter bollocks.

:patschKhan can't fight on the inside for ****!

    I’d have to respectfully disagree.

I’ve honestly not seen anything in Timmy which suggests he has a weak chin. That really bad knockdown against Holt, who’s a big puncher, occurred from him being reckless. But even then he showed amazing recuperative skills in taking a knee and regaining his legs within seconds. His superb conditioning would allow him to not only withstand Ricky’s onslaught, but will also allow to him to move and prevent himself from being continuously trapped on ropes or in corners where Ricky would do his best work. And I also have to emphasize, Ricky was never a big puncher. He wouldn’t have the snap in is shots to hurt or slow down Timmy - who does have the heart to deal with anything Ricky throws, and more.

Simply put, Ricky wouldn't enjoy the same success against an opponent who is more durable, skilled, quick and intelligent than anyone else he had dealt with (apart from Floyd and Manny).

So the body combo he dropped Maidana with was ****? Khan gets into the inside and steps back out and fights distance. Alexander was supposed to be the best when he KOd the mighty Juan Urango then Gets troubled and controversially beats Kotelnik then Bradley beats Abregu so all of a sudden hes the best? I like Bradley but all of you are jumping on his dick. its sad really :-(

You analysis is ****. Watch a whole fight and not just the HL's. What about all the times Maidana got inside and Khan could only offer pitty-pat combos with little snap, standing against the ropes and getting pummelled.

Not only can Amir not fight inside, it's totally inadvisable for him to do so. Stick to the paintings:good

He also cannot fight at distance very well. His jab is fairly easy to get around and he falls in as he throws his combos, getting closer and closer with each shot he throws, negating the distance.

He gets through on handspeed and heart. He has little boxing ability to speak of, that much is clear from watching him.

That's the thing. You never see him staying there, do you. Because when he does, he munches on uppercuts worse than Cotto and Manny. Not only his he prone to shots coming through the middle, but the ones coming round the sides get through to him too.

His inside game is one of his main weaknesses. This is a fact.

Bradley was considered the best before Abregu  Pathetic.

It was the win over Witter that pushed him right up to the top, and the consistency in beating Holt (and the chin/heart he showed in coming back, and adaptability in gameplan, something Khan has never shown because he is completely one dimensional) Campbell (stupid NC) and Peterson (one-sided, dropped him).

Even Edner Cherry and Vasquez are not bad 135lbers. Certainly better than Oisin ***an and Breidis Prescott anyways.

Now that's a little harsh. People have gone over the top in degrading his ability from his nervous showing against Maidana. With that massive drawback he has - the chin - there's no way he would have got to the position he's in now if he was a guy little boxing ability. Speed and heart, can only take you so far.

Agreed. He has been very carefully matched, and in the Maidana fight was on his bike for the last three rounds.

Now, if you're an Elite-level fighter, the championship rounds should not be where you're struggling.

I posed this question the other day and I'll ask you now Rico; what is Amir Khan good at? Not a trick question, I'd genuinely like to know what facets of his style he implements well.

He is one dimensional, flurry, move a bit, flurry, move a bit, get hit, run like ****.

My first point, about the way he falls in with shots is completely accurate. His back foot comes further and further off the ground as he makes his way towards the shots that should be doing the most damage, nullifying any chance they have of doing so.

Red Dragon; yeh, nice body shot in the first round, what about the other 11?

Khan is one dimensional. The quick handspeed fools people into thinking he's "slick" and has got "mad skills". People talk the same way about Shane Mosley, saying he's slick, just cuz he's quick, but really, Khan fights only one way. The boxing IQ hasn't been proven yet, but he's young so he can still add things to his game. He has improved a hell of a lot under Roach. His jab is not that bad IMO. It's the speed and the size advantage that's ****ing people up right now. Khan looks like a 154 fighter, not a 140 fighter. He can use the reach advantage and the handspeed to keep people at bay, but sooner or later somebody is gonna get inside that **** too easily and he's gonna have to show another dimension to his game, which he hasn't shown yet.

Right now, he gets on his bike. When the opponent catches up to him and starts pounding away, Khan covers up, waits for the storm to die down, then responds with flurries. Somtimes he looks angry, like when his opponent hits him he's responds back with a flurry that says "how dare you do that to me!"

Mate, elite fighter or not, he had the life knocked out of him in the 10th. Running and holding in those championship rounds was the best thing he could have done. It allowed him to cross the finishing line.

Those things you mention – needless flurries, over-committing etc – are things which I’m not going to try and deny. I’m not surprised they are still present in a fighter who in his first 20 fights, was taught little and was stilling fighting like an amateur. He’s only been with Roach for 5 or so fights. Look how long it took Manny to be where he’s at now?

As for what he’s good at...well he’s good at making the most of his attributes. He combines his long reach and speed to decent effect, by catching opponents before they’ve realized he’s in hitting range. His accuracy has been improving bit by bit. His jab, when not used loosely, does a good job (although it was disappointing to see him out-jabbed by Maidana on a few occasions).

Like I said, let’s see what he shows us in the next year or two. He’s still a naive kid that’s learning.

khan is 1 dimensional, he cant fight on the inside he backs up in straight lines, he doesn't know how to fight off the back foot, his footwork is disorganised, the only thing he does well is using his height and reach, these are things he was struggling with before he was with roach almost 3 years later none of those things have been ironed out. I cant see how some1 like that could beat bradley
