if prime King or TR had been promoting him from the start, he would have been as or more popular now than floyd before oscar.

USA isn't the home of boxing anymore. If it was mainstream here it would be covered on ESPN in prime time. It rarely is. I bet women's NCAA basketball gets more highlights on the main channel. Boxing is covered on ESPN2 which is where they cover sports like soccer and bowling.

I dont get the flack for Bradley, or for this fight.

Bradley isnt boring, imo, and this fight is against a good fighter, and should be a fun scrap barring a headbutt ending.

though he got a gift from the pac fight, honestly....bradley's recored is excellent.

vasquez, campbell, holt then back to back to back undefeated l. peterson, devon, and abregu...these are good fighters.

This is exactly why it's so nice to see his promoter (the mighty Top Rank) reward him with a bout against a big name and huge star like Ruslan Provodnikov, especially with the enhanced fan base that Bradley currently possesses.

He will fight Pacquiao again maybe even Rios. Provodnikov is just a stay busy fight just like Casamayor was.

And what a stay-busy fight it is! Provodnikov has appeared on Friday Night Fights not once but on multiple occasions. Clearly this is the kind of opponent only a promotional powerhouse like Top Rank could provide to Timothy Bradley. The same applies to the potential Lamont Peterson fight, an opponent Bradley could never ever hope to fight while with Gary Shaw.

It's such a shame he will be unable to take on Brandon "Bam Bam" Rios or Manny "Pac Man" Pacquiao in the near future, as those two have unfinished business and completely necessary rematches on the horizon.

tr floated the idea of jmm-bradley but nacho/jmm declined, hbo made a push to make bradley-guerrero, gbp refused to make berto-guerrero on showtime.

Clearly GB and GB alone could be to blame for a TR-GB fight not transpiring. And what a gosh darn shame as well! Why if not for this most unforseen obstacle in working with Golden Boy, Timothy Bradley would be on the train to superstardom even more rapidly than he currently is, thanks of course to the ingenious efforts of Arum, duBoeuf, and the rest of the visionaries at Top Rank.

It sucks how he and Mares get no respect, when you look at victims.

    Gotta disagree.

I give Mares respect, I've got him #11 P4P, for what that's worth.

But I hate him, and don't actually respect him. Scored Vic fight to Vic by 1 point. Agbeko I and Moreno are two of the dirtiest world class fights of the last 10 years, and not because of Abners' opponents at all. Horrible stuff there.
