Tim Bradleys only chance is to win the event:

He can put up a courageous performance in spite of losing clearly, so that we can say about him, he came to fight and not just collect a paycheck!

Tim has no chance. All the intangibles are in Manny's favor.

Tim has no power and Manny has an iron chin.
Tim throws wild punches and Manny can be a lethal counter puncher.
Tim chin's is questionable and Manny has undeniable power.
Tim did not look good against a shot southpaw Casamayor and now he is fighting the premier southpaw of this error.
Also confidence means very little when you have never faced an 'A' fighter. How many fighters have displayed confidence against Manny and Mayweather only to come up short. Cotto was confident for the whole fight with Floyd and it did not help him.

Given the politics of boxing Tim with no punching power needs to knockout iron chinned Manny for a win. That is not gonna happen.

As a last note, I think this ppv wll do well. At least 1.2 mill and possibly way more. Unless they fight a certified bum, both Manny and Floyd are done with the sub 1 mill ppv buys.

In Clottey, we had a fighter that just lost and was known for Flopping in his biggest fight.

In Timothy we have a confident fighter who as dug deep and passed every challenge. Albeit, no of those challenges were an 'A' class fighter.

 

Again think about the context. Margarito is a cheater who now seemed beatable without his concrete.

In addition to that, Margarito looked like $hit in his comeback fight against an unknown bum.

These factors can affect how well a fight will sell.

 

They might not but I am sure all his buys did not come from mexican fans only. And I am pretty sure the buys would have been higher if Margarito was viewed as a formidable opponent.
