The same Tim Smith who claimed to have the e-mail from the Pac camp asking if they could sweep a positive drug test result under the rug and then he never actually presented it? And then Teddy Atlas jumped on same said e-mail?

He writes an article like a novice boxing fan would..lacking anything close to an understanding of the sport outside of the megastars like Pac and Floyd.

    I think that's gravely exaggerated.

If Americans don't have a hero/superstar in a sport, it's suddenly dead or they just adopt one from another country and exaggerate his importance to the sport.
It's sad the "real American superstar" actually is an @sshole, who's obsessed with money and doesn't fight the sport's #1.

There are other boxers out there who can entertain the main public, it doesn't have to be Pac.

That's true but right now Pacquiao is the biggest star in the sport.

This really underscores the unfortunate state of PBF.

If PBF was active you would have 2 tops guys knocking people out and building their rivalries more. Making the fight that much bigger.
Think Yankees/Sox, Pats/Colts, Celtics/Lakers, Williams/DiMaggio, etc. You don't have great rivalries with active vs inactive.

Vivek likes to believe that the Twitter fiasco is some marketing move by PBF. Really? First off, the people that follow PBF's Twitter page and knows about that Twitter fiasco is the same people who would have bought the fight in the first place. PBF could be twittering his next fight against an alien race and it would have the same impact on the PPV buys.
Second, Vivek also say "We will see" how effective the Twittering was.
Really? How do you propose that Vivek? How are you going to connect the dot from that Twitter fiasco to actual PPV buys? Idiot.

The sport should not really be carried by Pac's shoulder alone here in the US. PBF shoulder is as good if not better to do the job.

Vivek and crew just like to make excuses and try to undermine Pac.
Face it. That Twitter BS has nothing to do about selling the fight.
A fight that is not even in negotiations and for mainstream media sick of hearing about it for the past year with ZERO results.
You know what is a good Twitter message? Pac and PBF signed the ****ing contract.

Vivek is an idiot and again attempts to write a piece disguise as analysis when in fact it is just in defense of his Man Love for PBF.

Smith's piece is decent but really underscores why we PBF's inactivity and legal problems does not bode well for boxing.

PBF is right - boxing is better with him in it. But the moment the sports need him the most, he is no where to be found. And it is all of his doing.

People like Vivek road the Mayweather fraud wave all this way, they aren't going to get off now, even if next Floyd literally turns yellow, grows feathers and tweets Quack Quack Quack the next time Arum sends him a contract.
People like Vivek are too proud to say, You were right Floyd is scared. So they keep on trying to sell the fraud that is Floyd Mayweather, even tho no one buys it anymore.

well he is the face of boxing in the last two years, you can't really argue that

it might of been different if floyd fought more or if david haye fought the klitchko's and beat them
