I think most will agree 154 isn’t deep at all, it’s actually quite poor and one of the worst divisions in boxing.

Tim is average no matter how you slice it.

No he was never top 10 p4p. People who thought he was must have been on the sauce.

An average fighter would not have fought competitively against a 6/6 southpaw giant for 10 rounds with a cut that bad.

It just added Ortiz, Crawford, and Spence. You have Charlo , Tszyu, Butaev, Fundora, Madrimov.

Some great matches to be made for years. With the three new addition it isnt a bad weight class.

Tszyu is a good fighter and far from average. Tszyu stops Spence and probably Ortiz Jr. Tszyu stops Fundora in rematch imho. Time will tell though

154 will have a good, hot 18 months because Jermell, Spence, and Bud are out in that timeframe

What happened to Brain Castano he would be an excellent addition to the new competition at 154

There are plenty of good fights to be made at 154 and I feel the year is shaping up pretty well I have a gut feeling that by the end of 2024 we will have seen somewhat of an improvement over the past few years.

TT is anything but average, he's a real Warrior who gives his all in that ring. Unfortunately Fighters are not as well prepared today as they were in past Generations, so Tim did not have the experience to know to automatically go to the body as much as possible protect his eye and to win the fight.

He was doing so well with the right hand that he probably just got over excited with it a bit which is a common mistake, I feel he will be back and right in the mix of things at the top of 154.

Why MVC, why? Can't you just for once be the rainbow instead of the painbow? LOL

Let’s see how the rematch goes. Fundora’s camp have agreed to it today.

This is what I hate about some boxing fans. A fighter loses once and immediately he's sh1t-canned.

When I see some ppl here start multiple negative threads about a fighter, I often think...

What horrible action did that fighter do to the OP in a previous life :sisi1

Who knows, maybe the days of the 'zero' and the 'perfect record' will be a thing of the past for the average fan in the future, that would be cool. At the expense of repeating myself, in past eras fighters often weren't considered seasoned without a few losses on the record! Imo it builds character and developes a certain type of comfort & relaxation level within a fighter.

Tim Tszyu's dad suffered some defeats which hopefully will benefit the young man and encourage him in a positive way.

You're correct. A loss isn't the end of the world, as long as you learn from it. I manage a Featherweight by the name of Dana Coolwell. We've matched him tough and he's taken a couple of losses to some talented (and bigger) fighters. He's now twice the boxer he was because he's learned from those bouts.
