I'll say this about this match. Even though Keith is up against it here, I still admire him for moving up in weight and taking on this challenge. And even if he gets KO'd, I think it will be a very entertaining match for as long as it lasts. This match does intrigue me, even as a non-title match, just to see what will happen. I've always been a fan of Keith Thurman, and to see him in action against a fighter the caliber of Tim Tszyu does excite me. That doesn't mean I expect Keith to win or even come close to winning. But I think it's possible that he can compete and make this interesting if he fights the fight of his life. What I love about boxing is that sometimes even mismatches on paper and fights way out of left field like this one can turn out to be classics. Even though the conventional wisdom is that Tim will win this fight easily, and probably hurt Keith, you never know. This is boxing and anything can happen in the theater of the unexpected.

 

It's a really interesting match up and when you break it down this is the best opponent Tszyu has faced. A 90% version of the Thurman that lost to Pacquiao is going to make this really competitive.

 

Perhaps it's Thurman making his enemy think he's weak when he is strong.
