Tim Tszyu vs Jermell Charlo

Charlo. Tim is basic. So is Jermell, but not as much. A really good slick fighter would clown them both. Tim has 0 footwork.

 

Jermell easy win.

 

“0 footwork”? What do you think footwork is, dancing? Tim have great footwork, not the fastest but always in balance and is great at stalking and cutting off the ring, also moves away from power shots nicely.

 

Tszyu beats this Charlo but I don't believe he would have beaten prime Charlo. That being said. The man has a sledgehammer for a punch so you never know.

 

Tszyu gives Charlo a dose that would make him wish he was born a woman

 

Charlo could definitely win, but the question is does he want to win. He seems checked out and just coasted through his showcase fight. Tells me he is done with the sport.

 

I'm favouring Tszyu. He'll back Charlo up and Charlo simply isn't effective on the back foot as he doesn't know how to counter and so his offence is non existent when on the back foot, as we saw in his fight with Canelo.

If Charlo is to win, he needs to set his feet and throw and get Tszyu's respect early so he doesn't just get walked down and broken down by Tszyu methodical style. Maybe if he had the desire and heart to fight fire with fire against Tszyu he could pull it off but after his showing vs Canelo you have to wonder if he either has the ability or the desire to fight that kind of fight and make it a war.

So Tszyu either on points or late stoppage.

 

Je-Smell Charlo won't even fight him. He'll sign the contract then pull out because he broke a nail.

 

He's basic but he is sound. He fights within himself and doesn't panic. Plus his chin is stellar. If Jermell can't back him up then he most likely will be in trouble.

 

Tim seems hopeful it's going to happen. Must know things we don't...

 

Tsyzu for me too. I am not quite as high on Tim as many here, I happen to think Charlo has the capabilities to win and might well have done so a few years ago when he had the fire, but I doubt his motivation is the same anymore. That being said, I'll be very surprised if this fight actually happens.

 

Tsyzu wins. Fight was even money a year ago but Tim has been active and taking good developmental fights that are building confidence. Tim is ASCENDING while Jermell has to move back down 2 weight classes coming off a pitiful loss and, perhaps most importantly, a massive Buku bucks career high payday.

Definitely picking Tim if they fight
