It's interesting to see the way the chess pieces are being moved around the board. I won't be surprised if King Timmy's next fight after Thurman is the winner of Michael Zerafa v Erislandy Lara & that Bud Crawford gets to fight for a vacant world title at Junior Middle. And that both King Timmy & Budrick are dangled in front of Canelo as an incentive for him to re-sign with PBC. I'm finding it hard to see any losers in those scenarios.

I understand the logic behind this fight but am not excited for it. And I damn sure won't be shelling out PPV dollars.

The real takeaway here is that it suggests non-PPV fights are not going to be featured on Amazon, because in any reasonable world this bout would not be on PPV.

Cherry pick. But it's forum darling Tim. So innocent and pure.

A fight that sounds good on paper but in reality Tim picked a fighter who hasn't fought in almost 2 years. Thurman should have at least gotten himself a tune up fight before challenging a champion. I'm just hoping we see Thurman still having some fight left in him. He seems like he doesn't have the same motivation ever since he lost to old Pac.

Jeff Horn, Tony Harrison and Brian Mendoza all managed to see the second half of their respective fights against Tszyu and those are less talented than Thurman. Besides size and activity, Thurman has more advantages: speed, power, skills, experience, footwork. If Thurman isn't completely shot at this point, he could give Timmy all sorts of problems. If someone like Brian Mendoza kept Tszyu at bay for the first half of the fight, Thurman would light him up like a Christmas tree. (assuming he still has it).

Keep at mind this will be in the States. If Tszyu doesn't blow him out or batter him from start to finish, he could very well lose it. PBC would rather have Thurman against the other top fighters from 147/154 pounds.

Timmy anyway he wants to win. Probably within 5 or 6 rounds. Thurman was athletic but age, time and injuries have dullled that. His power was always overrated.
Timmy is on a charge and I just him flat out beating Thurman up.

With all the chat here, it would be absolutely hilarious if Keith ONE TIME'd him.

    Boxing strikes again

    canelo vs Charlo’s
    Loma vs kambosos
    & now Tyzu cs Thurman
This is crossing over from the Mayweather effect to the Jake Paul effect.

I am loling at all the "one time" jokes on here haha you guys are riot.

Having said that, if Timmy comes in top shape then he knocks out Keith "at one time" Thurman by the mid to late rounds.

What an odd, pointless fight. Thurman is really that frightened of Boots and Stanionis that he runs to another division where he faces certain doom? He's only fought Barrios in like the past 4 years so yeah this fight against a streaking guy that can hit a bit is most assuredly certain doom.

What a waste of a career that had genuine promise.

I've not been a fan of his, just a casual observer of Tszyu but I hope he removes the semi retired tag from Thurman and makes it permanent.
