Wow talk about a surprise fight! Timmy is a total badass to take such a fight after the horrific cut against Fundora. Although I guess we have to see how Vergil looks like on Saturday.

Props to Tszyu for facing a puncher like Ortiz right after a tough loss. Absolutely no fear. That should be a fun fight while it lasts.

    Big step up for Ortiz
But it’s now or never his career has stalled to a halt.
    Should be a Great fight

Great fight. I wanted to see the rematch, but i get it. PBC probably not making it an easy option.
This is setting up 54 to be a hot weight class. Fundora, Tyszu, Crawford, Ortiz , and if Charlo wants to jump back in. Could be a fun 2 years if these promoters don't stand in the way.

Damn good fight. This is looking like another great card. I hope Vergil has recovered enough to be able to give his best though.

Great fight. I'm a huge fan of Kostya but I was never really a fan of Tim and nor did I particularly rate him up until more recent years. However, he's improved a lot and grown on me and taking on a very awkward 6'6'' southpaw in their backyard (which I'm still not convinced wasn't a set-up) after spending pretty much an entire camp training to fight Keithy who couldn't be more different to Keithy stylistically and physical dimensions took big balls, as did battling through the adversity of a terrible cut with his vision impaired and his face a mask of blood for vast majority of the fight when all he had to do to keep his world title was be honest about the fact his vision was impaired.

And now he's going to face the huge punching undefeated Ortiz in his first fight back after suffering that loss, and in Ortiz's backyard too.

Kostya was a serial road warrior who fought almost half of his fights on the road and in his opponent's backyards and Tim seems like a chip of the old block in more ways than one.

It's a real shame this card isn't over in Saudi though as it would be a more level playing field and it would afford Crawford and Ortiz a chance to earn some road warrior points. Crawford fought on the road once an ice age ago against Burns but he didn't have any choice in the matter. Burns was the champ, was a big draw in Scotland and Crawford had to travel for his world title shot and big break. And if not for sheer corruption and extreme good fortune Burns would've been 0-2 in his previous 2 fights going into that fight too.

Ortiz should beat Timmy more skill and his power is on par with Timmy. Good fight can't wait to see it.

    Am I missing something here?

What division is Ortiz ranked in and where is he ranked?

154 he moved up do to health problems. He hasn't beaten anyone at the weight but he's incredibly talented so he will probably have success in the mix
