At his very best, he sweeps through 6-10 with no problems.

Pov would have to be at his best to beat Witherspoon.

I would place money on Witherspoon beating Wilder today if the technology to do such a thing suddenly became possible, hahah.

There's no reason he wouldn't be live and evenly matched against Parker and Joshua as well.

I picked 7 total wins, maybe I should have said 8, but I think he'd lose one he should have won.

I always just assume the mentioned fighter, if stated to be in his "prime" for these head to head matches, doesn't show any lapses or weakness in the hypothetical match ups, because we're not looking at the time he choked, we're looking at Witherspoon from his optimal performance. Like saying Larry Holmes would get knocked out by anybody with a good right hand because Renaldo Snipes and an old Earnie Shavers almost did it.

Well, Shavers had an all-time right hand, and he could not do it. The punch latterly threw Holmes down to the mat.

So it's going to take more than one huge blow to stop a prime Holmes.

I did not pick Witherpsoon's age here, so assume he's 27-30, and the opponents are at their current ages.

I've always been a big Spoon fan. His inconsistency drove me nuts. He could be one fight away from being champ to overweight and lazy the next. Alot of parallels with Bowe.
Anyway ability wise Spoon has it to take all these guys at his best in my book

What was Witherspoon's prime ? He pissed away his youth by a lack of training and focus and then hung on too long and had some goon performances .. Tim was the most talented fighter between Holmes and Tyson but gave it away so I really can't say who was the prime Tim .. his best performance was his early career fight against an aging but still tough Holmes .. who knows ?

I think Joshua would beat him. I'd pick Tim against the rest.

Kind of pointless since he wasn't consistent. He potentially could beat them all.

    Good thread :)
I see him, at his peak, doing all of them.
But Joshua and Wilder are wildcards, for now.

8.. Although today. Tim would not be a big heavyweight like he was before. He really was hot and cold. His skills were just as good as a Holmes, but his motivation was not. He did not have Larry's consistency.
