I don't think Biggs was terribly deserving of a shot against Tyson and Holmes certainly wasn't. Tony Tubbs may have been outside the top 10 when Tyson fought him and Bruno as well the first time.
Up until 1996 tim witherspoon had 5 losses Holmes: split decision Pinklon: Majority decision Bonecrusher: supposedly a dive everett martin: completely bogus decision ray mercer: majority decision He can argue that he was never CLEARLY beaten during his heyday.
Very true, for the first 17 years of Witherspoon's career ( part of which broken up by periods of inactivity), no one really acquired a genuinely decisive win over him. I saw the Martin fight in 1992, and both men looked like **** in all honestly. Of course looking like **** was a regularity for Everett Martin, but I'm still not sure that he deserved the win. I never saw the Mercer fight, but everyone I've ever spoken to, has said that it was a pathedic decision. As for the Bonecrusher fight, this whole thread was devoted to proving it as a robbery, and after listening to some of the posts, I'm pretty much convinced.
