You mean when he got knocked out in one by Smith? When he went to split decisions against Larry Alexander and Mike Williams? Is that when the "crab" defense was at its 'crabbiestly' effective?

I think if Wilder got wasted in one by someone he'd already defeated and then went to split decisions against journeymen like Larry Alexander (who would the equivalent be today - Shawndell Winters?) ... I wonder if Wilder get the same pass Witherspoon is getting here? (LOL)

If Wilder went to a split decision against Shawndell Winters, would that be a good win?

Wilder beats Spoon easily. Wilder holds every advantage.

Spoon lost to Holmes. So what? Spoon was 15 fights in his career and put up a great fight vs an ATG. Holmes had more skills in his pinky finger than Wilder does in his whole body. Ditto with Thomas.

The Spoon that destroyed Bruno was at his best.

The crab defense was extremely effective and no top heavyweight today knows how to use it. It is a joke for you to pretend Wilder has the skillset to deal with it.

He’s 3-1-1 or 4-1-1 against top ten fighters depending on where you put Breazeale.

But it’s deceptive, because he’s also 3-1-1 against top five fighters and we know how good Fury is.

Bit harsh on Bugner but I broadly agree with the point and have made it myself more than once on this site.
I view both Bruno and Wilder pretty much as hype jobs.

I can't believe someone is seriously comparing losing decisions to master boxers and jabbers like Holmes and Thomas to an unskilled club fighter like Wilder. Jesus.

    LOL,

So Fury needed 2 fights , a extremely lenient Ref and a lucky behind the ear shot to beat a Hype job ?

So Fury is itself a Hype job, afterall he almost got iced against this Hype job ?

So the Bodybuilder most be the tripple Hype job, he spit his mouth piece out and quit the first time he left his beloved Brit island while facing a obese non ranked sub who was paid to loose but did not follow the script.

    Sonny just log off.

BTW, Witherspoon just sucked, he never ever fugging delivered, now that was a Hype job......I wish the Tyson fight would have happened in the 80's, Witherspoons "Prime crab defense Super Prime", it would have a been a real Highlite reel KO for Tyson, guaranteed.

Is this where you puff out your chest and brag that Tim beat "ranked" fighters like Tubbs and Bonecrusher and Tillis? Save it.

How many ranked fighters that Tim beat also got beaten or stopped by Lionel Butler, or Brian Nielsen, or "The White" Jimmy Ellis, or Jimmy Thunder ... or hell, ALL FOUR of them? (LOL)

The ranked fighters today, the ranked fighters in the 70s, the ranked fighters in the 90s are better than the ranked fighters of other eras, including the 80s. It doesn't matter if you are rated #3 if the other contenders are all average and don't care and don't train and are just as average as you.

How many of the top 10 ranked fighters today do you think would ever get stopped in one by the "White" Jimmy Ellis (who George Foreman beat) or Lionel Butler? Because that's all Tubbs lasted with them.

How many of the top ranked fighters today lose to Brian Nielsen? Because basically all the names Spoon beat, and Spoon himself, did.

    Garbage in. Garbage out.

BTW, 118-110 is the result of a shot FMJ dealing with the One trick Pony Pac.......118-110 is true club fighter level loosing

Yes. Larry Alexander, Bigfoot Martin, Jose Ribalta, Jimmy Thunder ... they just couldn't figure it out. (LOL) Mesmerizing, I tell you. They couldn't land a punch.

Wilder’s record against top 5 fighters is numerically ahead of Riddick Bowe’s record in that department. (I said numerically.)
