Tim actually mentioned him and said he'd have beat him. I think it's a good match up. Obviously we're taking both at their best. So 12 rounds, who's winning?
I see it being a close, exciting fight myself with Tim pressurising Buster with his crab like defence and James catching him with his great jab. With not much between em in scoring, Witherspoon takes over in the latter round s has Buster starts to maybe fade. Either a late rounds KO, about 10 /11, or stamping his ground for the ending and getting a decision for TW. Both men show off their brilliant skillset.
That sort of jab definitely gives Tim trouble, that could give Buster an even chance of winning. Busters jab was great against Tyson but Witherspoon is bringing a different box of tools to this fight.
Bump because it’s a good fight which didn’t get many replies. Best of both I take Douglas, people see Witherspoon as the antidote to boxers/jabbers but Thomas beat him and Tokyo Douglas is better than Thomas imo, also he didn’t just have a jab, he was very well rounded (Douglas)
Buster from the Tyson fight might win a narrow decision. The Buster from the Tony Tucker bout who boxed nearly as well as in Tokyo faded late and was stopped by Tony Tucker. That Buster would get stopped late by a peak Witherspoon. Would be a good tactical fight with them getting in the trenches in the final rounds. Shame it never happened.
