  1. very very close,i think that spoon did beat holmes really, but past prime norton gave holmes the biggest hell of his life. a prime 73 norton would beat spoon by sd.

I'm not so sure that Ken Norton of 1973 to 1976 was better than Timmy Spoon of 1983 to 1986... However, I love this dream fight...

I think Spoon edges Norton on power alone in a time machine... Norton was a good puncher, but Spoon punched even better... Peace...

Holmes could punch a bit I would say, so could Ali...both punch harder than often given credit for, though not in the league of Foreman, Shavers or Cooney. Mind you, I've always considered Norton was well over the top when Shavers & particularly Cooney got him.

Ken v spooon a good match though - I'd pay to see this one. I don't think Witherspoon is the class of puncher that Shavers, Cooney or Foreman were, he rocked Holmes but not as badly as Snipes did for example.

Norton could punch too a bit too...hard enough to keep Tim honest I think.

Norton close on points for me over 12, wider over 15.

I think Ken wins a close decision over 12 and an wider one over 15 as i see his superior workrate taking over in the later rounds
