    witherspoon would be ranked anywhere between 3 _6 in the 80s behind holmes and tyson i cant believe people think he would have beaten 86 _88 tyson he just wasnt quick enough to do it ! in saying that i think terrible tim is underated .

    For as inexperienced as Witherspoon was, he gave Holmes a heck of a fight. He obviously scared Holmes enough to make Holmes not want to rematch him. The same thing with Carl Williams; instead of rematching a razor-close fight against a relatively inexperienced guy who many thought beat him, Holmes chose a seemingly easy fight against Michael Spinks. Holmes deserved to lose for being such a cheese champion over the last 2-3 years of his reign!
