Some of the Spoon's brutal KO's. Terrible Tim obviously could hit hard enough to KO his opponents cold, sometimes with single right hand: This content is protected
By the way, anyone saw Spoon's KO of Jimmy Lee Smith? I remember it was brutal KO as well with Smith being knocked out cold.
I like Witherspoon a lot. And he has a tremendous right hand. But, seeing how wide open he leaves himself sometimes, I don't think he had any realistic chance against Tyson if that fight would have been made. (Before he blew it by losing to Bonecrusher)
I believe that footage was used in the Sam L Jackson movie, Great White Hype. RIP Eklund. Passed early in years.
Yes, the only time Bowe landed really good streight right hand was a third Holyfield fight. But it was a counter punch that catched Holyfield right on the chin. It had frightening power. Never before or since Evander was hurt as badly as he was after getting hit by that counter streight right hand punch from Bowe in round 8.
Bowe's right got worse over time. He looped it to ridiculous proportions in the Golota fights. It wasn't even telegraphed like it was early in his career by then, more sent by carrier pigeon.
Spoon has a very tasty right hand, one of the best of his era. He was definitely old school and, in shape and up for it probably beats most of today. That's the Witherspoon of the 80 s, not Tim now..
