There is nothing left for him in this sport. He has had two world title shots and fell short..
    way short.... on both occasions.

Not competitive in the slightest against the champs and he is now a risk to his own health in continuing to absorb the punishment he has don whenever he fights.

It's clear that his sloppy style of fighting is never going to change anytime soon and he should hang up the gloves while he still has his health and mental faculties.

He needs to stay healthy to look after his family by finding a new career... because he can't take this continued punishment without complications.

    He is a nice guy.

Breazeale please retire! Become a sports personality or commentator... anything else... as boxing just ain't for you anymore.

    I think so.

People make fun of my take on it but Ive never liked third tier no defense no hope fighters hanging around to be the next guys KO victim for a check.

He should retire. He takes too many punches.

@Aydamn Not at all he had Wilder stunned coming in just ..IDK.

not sure what Breazeale has to do with HW division ? Still a problem for most....I think he needs time off with new trainer.

This was a fight that most likely whoever lands clean first wins.

can't tell someone isn't for boxing unless you fought these guys. I've fought opponents at least one who's fought them ,and he's still a punch from losing..Wilder.

I doubt the payday he got last night was sufficient for him to just retire. 1.2 mill is all he got according to some reports.

He'll likely fight on. Haymon will probably match him up with rising heavies, maybe a future Kownacki fight, though I think that's a close fight. Maybe he can fight for the WBA regular mickey mouse belt.

But can you really put a price on your health?? 1.2 million is more than most people have and they feed their families perfectly fine.

Your health is priceless... your family still needs you. The punches Breazeale has consistently been taking... especially from the champs.. are life threatning.

Someone like helenius can safely come and collect a paycheck becauase he at least knows how to roll with the punches... move around.. survive... etc.

Breazeale is consistently sloppy and doesn't look like he will ever change.

Trainers don't give fighters a new style... they tend to improve the style the fighter already has/displays..

Whyte was rough around the edges but had potential be a good boxer... his defence and skils have come along way...

Breazeale just doesnt have that potential
..he just has a ton of heart which aint enough in this sport.

You cant rocky balboa your way through every fight ... you are supposed to avoid getting hit.. you show heart when you get caught or make mistakes... not by inviting the punches.

$1.2 mill won't go far once taxes, trainer and promoters cut, training costs etc have been deducted. He will be lucky to see a third of it and 400K isn't enough to retire on.

While it's clear Breazeale doesn't have what it takes at the top level, could of told anyone that before he even fought Joshua, man has to earn a living and plenty of worse fighters than Breazeale keep fighting. Hell if every boxer that didn't have what it took retired, we wouldn't have a sport, 99% of boxers don't have what it takes and get in the ring to be knocked out again and again.

He is going to have to pay his trainers, managers, support staff and other hanger on's not to mention taxes out of that $1.2 million. He will probably be taking home $200,000-300,000

Breazeale is so painfully slow. Retiring wouldn't be the worst option, he's made some dough. Its better to get out too early then too late They could run that fight back 10 times and Breazeale probably wouldn't see the 2nd round. The hand speed difference was night and day, it was an utter mismatch.

Breazeale would do better playing in that Spring American Football League that Vince McMahon is
    starting up in Spring 2020.

    Altruistically. Yes

Hes made enough money and can take care off his family if he has common sense.

Can. He have more as a contender? Yes. So should he stop? IDK?
