Unavoidable what happened to him this time in terms of opponents but he wasnt pushed last night and should be able to return to the ring relativley quickly.A career defining fight is needed ASAP against Bute or Kessler.Do you think that Henessey is capable of providing such a fight?I have my doubts. But im desperate to see him in with a good fighter so we can find out just how good he is.Some rate him and some dont but its long overdue that we find out once and for all if he can back the boasts up.

Kessler is the fight I'd want to see, that would be a great fight. Both men can punch.

Kessler received a lot of support from British fans after the Calzaghe fight, so maybe wouldn't be put off coming back again.

He needs to fight someone world class before shouting his big mouth off the way he does.

No reason why the Kessler fight couldn't happen but Kessler would annhiliate him in my opinion.

I would like that fight to happen also.I think Froch has a big performance in him but waiting to see it is becoming tedious.

I don't care how unlucky Froch has been with injury, (himself and opponents), or people supposedly ducking him. He's been around for over 6 years now and his record looks pretty lame considering how highly people rate him.
A lack of competetive fights has taught him bad habits, he seems way too easy to hit, and fights with far too much complacency.
He could do really well at the highest level, and maybe if he fought somebody decent I might start supporting him.

    IMO:

Bute wouldn't fight him unless he had a belt or became his mandatory. Froch had the chance to fight Bute in the IBF eliminator, but, like Inkin, chose not to. He fought Tatevosyan instead...

Kessler will also only fight him if he [Froch] wins a belt (WBC).

Froch is not a big name and is just a prospect, having not beaten anyone in the top 20 yet. I cannot see why Bute or Kessler would fight him just for the heck of it...he's unproven; what would beating him prove at this stage? Both have PROVEN chins...so...it's not like Froch could "expose" their chinniness...

last night froch didn't box, he was just trying to hit the guy as hard as he could. No doubt that he can box tho, just with a preformance like that against kessler its not gonna end to good.

Please remind me the last time Foch tried to impress with his boxing skills.

A real shame about Inkin pulling out but I still feel he needs a good top 15 fighter on his record before he fights one of the better Super middles like Kessler, Taylor or Bute. I really hope a fight with Pascal or one of the good German based fighters comes off such as Breahmer or Larsen.

lol true mate, but i think he can box much better than he showed. Ring rustyness maybe? Or just trying to end it fast and get out of there?

Like he does with most of his opponents, who he knows are not capable of beating him.

Before too long he will be an over the hill prospect.

or if froch becomes mandatory for whichever belt kessler wins.

froch did what he had to last night. it was a lose-lose situation in that there was no way he was going to get praised for beating such an opponent.

hennessey and froch really need to think about getting him a good competitive fight next up even if its straight into a fight for a vacated wbc.

He'll have to box much better to beat Top 20 fighters with a very good chin and who haven't taken it at short notice, I think.
