First I would like to say that this is not a hate- thread. Andrew came out to round one slow, stiff and mentally just not in the game, he got knocked down by the first punch from a BUM for gods sake. Then he supposedly had a dislocated elbow, which is likely.. but he turned away when he got hit by left hooks. You are not fit to fight if you turn your back to an opponent who is swinging. Imagine if that was Jack Dempsey in front of him when he took his eyes from the opponent to complain about his elbow.. he would get killed in there. Time for him to pack it in, it's been a disgraceful career with a man that never lived up to his fans expectations.
The man was capable of becoming a champion of the world. He wasted all his opportunities and quitted on numerous occasions. Would you call that a successful career?:think
It was a succesful areer up to a point. He was robbed vs Btrd and Ruiz.He fought the who's who in the division.Hardly a disgaceful career.
What chances would you give him against these guys: W. Klitschko V. Klitschko N. Valuev R. Chagaev A. Povetkin D. Haye :think
He broke something in his sjull in the Tyson fights. In the rest he did ''unorthodox'' things .Like he is the only one who messed up.He was robbed of a title and was winning those fights too.Like I said,it was a good career. His resume is very good.
He lost to the very best (exept for Austin of course) He was one of the very few who could make Byrd and Ruiz fights exciting ones. Who else recently has been able to knock down Ruiz? Golota did it twice.
With Tyson he lost, got knocked out but survived bombs from him and got up immediately from it. Tyson is concidered one of the best ever though. With Grant he exposed him and knocked him down twice in the first round, was winning the fight when he quit for no reason (it proves that he is very weak mentally, but you cant take anything away from his physical gifts, he was dominating Grant) With Bowe he dominated him in both fights and ended his career.
Key word you used was "he is weak mentally" I can understand that you like the guy, but personally.. I don't think he did his fans justice.:good
Don't get it twisted though, about Brewster. Lamon is one of the hardest hitting heavyweights in recent history. He almost knocked Golota spark out with a lefth ook :yikes
