Time for to burns to step it up a bit?

Katsidis and Moses were never world champs. Katsidis twice held an 'interim' title, and Moses won a 'regular' belt, but neither were legit champs.

We all like to ***** and moan about the governing bodies and their numerous titles, so it would be a tad hypocritical of us to acknowledge the winners of these bogus belts as genuine champions when it suits us.

he is ****,he looked terrible in his 1st and was awful last night. gavin rees smashes the **** out of harrison in a couple of rounds,i would bet anybody anything,lets get that fight on,but harrison won't want anything of rees:deal

burns is miles ahead of him,he needs to be on the up,not fighting area level(just) fighters like harrison

Katsidis was still world level when he faced Burns.
Mitchell and Moses were still fringe world class when they faced Burns.
Not a bad list of opponents, but i tend to agree that Burns needs to move onwards and upowards.

 

Demarco would be an ideal opponent, a guy who brings excitement but is well within Burns' ability to outbox.

 

Forgot about Demarco Broner matchup, should fight the winner of that bout. If im honest i think Broner is a little bit overated and isnt as invincible as some make out.

 

The point is Moses and Katsidis were at world level whether they were the genuine champs or not. I would argue that Vasquez is the man at Lightweight but that doesn't mean that Burns isn't genuinely world class does it?

I'd like Ricky to take on a name the Americans can't ridicule,but let's not forget who his promoter is.
Ricky's not the type to go banging on that person's door,and he did try to chase a fight with JMM when he had the interim belt.
Let's get a bit of perspective though.At the WBO,Mitchell was #3,Moses is still top 10 and he was ordered to fight Katsidis for the interim title.
I'm all for a step-up,but will DeMarco,Broner or Vasquez make Ricky a decent offer to go over?
Abril would be a good shout for me as well.

 

None of us wants it.It'll be down to that shameless promoter if it happens.
