Povetkin, Haye, Pulev are legit wins he could get to enhance his legacy. Fury and Jennings could go on to mean something later. Other than those 5 fights, I don't care to see him fighting the Shannon Briggs', Albert Sosnowski, or Manuel Charrs' of the world.

 

The sooner he retires, the sooner we can have one champion. As much as I would have preferred it be the warrior Vitali than the safety-first Wlad, that door is closed.

In a couple years, Wlad will retire and the division will fall into chaos. It will be watchable, vastly more entertaining, but chaos nonetheless.

He doesn't want to fight Haye, hasn't mentioned Fury, Pulev, Helenius, Povetkin, not even Boytsov.

Has fought 4 mismatches in his last 6 fights and is talking about another one coming from the winner of Arreola vs Stiverne.

Enough already, spare the fans and retire.

 

I'd rather see Haye vs Povetkin for the WBC title. Vitali might as well retire if Haye isn't an option, this is the biggest fight he could make and if he has no desire anymore he's better off.

 

Actually, at his age, an in shape Arreola might take him. Vitali's a warrior, but Father Time is undefeated.

Most champs end up losing to somebody a decent version beats.

 

Anybody that calls for a dominant long time champion that has produced multiple exciting fights over the years to retire whatever the reason is not a fan of boxing.

Especially those that want to see second rate bums as titleholders.

The Klitschkos are keeping the division dignified. If they retire, you will see complete no-skill jokes hold belts and taunt each other.

That's the conundrum. Either they continue to split the division and bore the public, or we get post Holmes, pre-Tyson belts changing hands every other day again.

Typically, a dominant force has always come along to make sense of the division.

Edit: Vitali splits, Wlad bores....just to be clear.

 

He needs to be stripped of his title. I like Vitali be he has nothing left to prove. Haye to fight or go away also.

 

He's 41, his body ridden with injuries and very busy with his politic career, Haye had his chances to fight him in the past but waited for Vitali to get older, decline and become unmotivated. so **** him. Retire, champ. You owe nothing to Haye and his brittard fans

 

I'd much prefer the latter. At least it's exciting.
