dont know if this has bee on before but just watched this programme on skyplus. ITV boxing icon gary newbon sitting round a table with olympic medallist and one of the best pundits today ritchie woodhall, teak tough stevey collins who beat benn and eubank, alongside joe calzaghe from strictly come dancing. highlights were not much love lost between the irishman and welshman, ritchies confident humility in the company of the other two, some good advice for any yong fighters and gary newbons questioning(like to see him present ringside). but watch it just for stevy collins hypnotist story in the build up to the eubank fight, classic shenanigans. wot about the same format but with benn, eubank and collins. that could be fruity.
made me laugh when woodhall was on about how he was sat across the table from joe with there dads at the service station.
I think it was first on just before De Gale vs Groves it may have been even earlier that, good show though.
Steve Collins talks very highly of Calzaghe off camera and vice versa. There is mutual respect there.
Yeah that was a really nice story to hear. Makes you appreciate how close the sport is and even though sons were about to go at it the fathers still were friends. I thought Collins story and knowledge was interesting.
when Newbon bottled it when he knew he upset Collins. He said something about when they was in there prime's then tries to wiggle way out of it when Collins gave him the look.
