He's a tough European journeyman with a solid chin.

You've clearly never seen the fight. If you're actually interested in the facts I can explain what happened and why Haye didn't even try to stop him, but I suspect you'd just rather jump to conclusions based upon nothing more than a quick glance at Boxrec.

    you're right.

haye has the charisma to fit the bill, but first he has to beat the odds of cruisers who have made the leap successfully.

cant think of anyone except toney and evander in the last umpteen years...

He just held 3 Cruiserweight belts but hes hardly not fought anybody :rofl

Mormeck was a good champion and he whipped him in his own back yard, Barrett has been beaten by every decent fighter he has faced, Haye has openly seeked out the best fighters at his weight and he has already called out Klitschko what more can he do?

I'm not English either, you stupid Canadian :nut

Chris Byrd wasn't a cruiserweight champ, but started his career fighting at LHW.

UH, I'M AMERICAN, FROM ARIZONA. GET OUT YOUR GOOGLE EARTH, SOUNDS LIKE YOU'RE AN ENGLISH NUTHUGGER!!!!
MORMECK WAS FINISHED BEFORE THEY FOUGHT. CALLING OUT FIGHTERS DOESN'T MAKE YOU GOOD OR A CHAMP, IT MAKES YOU SOUND DESPERATE. IF HE HANDLES BARRETT, THEN HE MOVES UP AGAINST BETTER. HE DOESN'T GO TO THE TOP JUST BECAUSE HE'S ENGLAND'S ONLY DECENT HW PROSPECT.

Lol, it's painfully obvious you never saw that fight, otherwise you would know why is is so irrelevant to any discussion of Haye's punching power and Haye has, to all intents and purposes, a 100% ko record.

How do you rate a guy that's made a career beating American bums against a guy that's unified belts and beaten world champions in their own backyard, out of interest?

Look at the list of competition Abdoul has faced, how many beatings he's taken, and how many times he's been KO'd.

Once, after a brutal beating earlier in his career against Wlodarczyk.

His chin is iron, even if Haye did put 100% into KO'ing him it wouldn't be a disgrace if he failed.

This guy is so stupid its unbelivable.

How about a ban from the forum bet?

If Haye beats Barrett you go, if Barrett beats Haye i go, your stupidity is boring me.

After Haye had completely gassed against Thompson, he then had another string of early wins and, after every one people were saying 'oh yes, but what about his stamina'.

I've never seen a fight quite like Haye/Abdoul where a fighter has gone to such obvious trouble to not knock out his opponent. Haye spoke beforehand about proving that he could do 12 rounds and barely threw a right hand in anger all fight.

Actually the whole thing was so slow paced that it didn't really prove much of anything in any real terms, but I suspect that the proving was as much to himself as to anyone else and that it was psychologically good for Haye.

No problem. I think the fight's somewhere on YouTube, but I wouldn't reccomend watching it; it's awful.

Haye had been getting a load of stick for his stamina. He came out and said he intended to go 12 rounds just to prove the doubters wrong.

To that end, he used his jab almost exclusively and limited himself to throwing 3 right hands per round maximum. Abdoul was extremely cautious so kept his guard up throughout. Unsurprisingly, Haye jabbed the guy senseless for 12 rounds, barely breaking into a sweat and stood chatting between rounds as if to prove a point.

It was a stupid move in the end, because while he went 12 rounds, it wasn't fought at any pace so proved nothing about his stamina and also bored the audience to tears. It was 120-108 on all 3 cards purely because of the jab; he didn't make a single concerted attack or throw any sort of combo of note all night.
