The current heavyweight scene is killing Hayers! Absolutely killing him. He despises Tyson Fury to a bizarre level and can't handle the fact that the stage is now set for Fury to dominate the division for years to come.

Fury looks better than ever and top rank are doing a tremendous job promoting him. That spectacle last night was surreal; the Apollo Creed entrance, the two round punch perfect demolition, the post fight sing song. I watched via ESPN and the commentary team were wetting themselves with the excitement of it all. Really, really impressive stuff despite the poor opponent. Looks to me like Arum knows exactly what he's doing with Tyson. What muppets like Hayers neglect to mention is the fact Tyson was never promoted in his career. He done it all himself up to now.

Hayers spent his day talking about PED's, dodged rematches, poor ticket sales, a few ejits booing, blah, blah, blah. When that mongo spends his day character assassinating the gypsy king, you know big Tyson is playing a blinder. For the first time in his career he's got the right promoter and the right work ethic. There's big things on the horizon for Fury and only a fool would ignore it. He had 87 year old Bob Arum singing and dancing in the post fight presser ffs. ESPN will be blasting those pictures everywhere. Tyson was a dormant volcano that's just erupted in the USA where he'll be appreciated for the all time great boxer/showman that he is. They don't hate 'pikeys' in America.

Joshua has fought Klitschko. A Klitschko that to my eye looked a much better more motivated fighter than when he fought fury.

He's also fought povetkin, Whyte, Parker, Ruiz and takam. Most of those would probably beat wilder.

I shall re watch sometime but from memory against fury he looked his usual self, plodding jab and grab and against AJ he was up on his toes like a spring chicken coming forward and looking to fight

As said, Wlad's punch stats are identical in both fights. Fury is simply much better defensively than AJ and immobilized the attack of Wladimir with his elite footwork, head movement and feints.

I do think the klitschko that fought AJ was a bit better than the one who fought fury, I know some people just won't have it but Klitschko looked disinterested and plodding all night vs Fury, if you only watch Klitschkos feet in both fights you'll see a difference, he's plodding round the ring vs fury whereas the lighter version who fought AJ is a lot more mobile, and Fury's defensive style didn't put weights in Klitschkos shoes.

I think Wlad underestimated Fury and figured he would be easy to hit, had no power and would go down easy, let's not forget barely anyone gave Fury a chance.

For AJ I think he had motivation back but was just too old.

I think the version who beat Haye beats both btw, Wlad had struggled with Jennings prior to Fury, he was clearly way past prime but that'd been masked by a poor division.

Let's be honest the Fury hype has went off the scale because he beat the german Gary Cornish.

AJ would have done the same to this guy.

Fury will learn nothing off fighting guys like that, but he is happy to con the public into doing so.

You’re right, AJ would have banged him out but rightly or wrongly it wasn’t about the opponent but rather the event. This was Fury being marketed for the American market, giving it the big Apollo Creed, showing off his skills, gloves down letting his opponent throw six free shots at him and missing. This was what it was supposed to be for Joshua a couple of weeks back. Arum got it right.

Stylistically, more bombs are gonna land either way when both fighters feet are set. Peter Fury said after the fight that they knew Klitschko only thrown his shots when his feet were set, so his instructions to Fury were to not allow him to set his feet. That was the reason for the dramatic difference in Klitschko’s performance between the Fury fight and the AJ fight.

Read what I said again, Klitschko plodded vs Fury, he did not plod vs AJ (until he gassed)

Yes Fury fought a mobile smart fight but Klitschko at his best is one of the best at controlling range, and had very good movement and ring coverage (see knocking out Eddie chambers from halfway across the ring)

Vs AJ he came in very light and was up on his toes, as opposed to plodding in treacle vs Fury, and, again, Fury moving and herky jerk ing didn't put cement in Wlad's shoes, he was simply old, plodding and turned up with his "it's only fury" head on.

And again fury is quick and nimble but he's not as quick and nimble as was the 2009 David Haye who had no notable speed edge vs 2009 Wlad. Considering that fury got touched up a bit by Wilders jab I don't think it's a stretch to say a prime Wlad would have been able to get his jab home a fair bit easier than 39 year old Wlad.

Sorry mate, i’ve seen the fight a few times (likewise AJ v Klitschko) and didn’t think Klitschko was lumbering at all. He looked razor sharp and alert but also very wary of Fury’s jab. Just looked like a fighter who couldn’t figure his opponent out but was desperate to do so. His feet looked fine.

Yeah agree. Not really sure how someone could become so emotionally invested that they spend hours making posts defending Matchroom interests and discrediting Fury on a fairly obscure internet forum. What does he gain exactly?
