Nonito will come to that stage unless they stop avoiding him like plague. Montiel and Morel are examples.
If you could name 10 fighters better than him? Hey sure do it up. I mean that's what P4P means these days.
I like the way you think in terms of matchmaking; those fights make a ton of sense from both a boxing and fan's standpoint. :thumbsup
Because he piggybacked his way onto it now he can piggyback his way off of it. Dawson has beat better opposition than Nonito..why doesnt he get to piggyback off of what Adamek went on to do?
He has been. Adamek winning the ring title at Cruiserweight has as much to do with Dawson moving into the top 10 as beating a faded Tarver twice and Glen Johnson, which is essentially all Dawson's done in the past 2 years. Good wins? Yes. Would they have been viewed as P4P wins if Adamek had been blown out vs USS? I don't think so. Particularly with Light heavyweight being one of the thinnest divisions in the game right now.
To be fair accumulatively (**** I'm sure I made that word up), One could probably argue Dawson has a top 10 resume if Adamek retires after losing to him. I mean Adamek, Glenn Johnson and Tarver II is good enough on it's own at age 28 to sneak him into the top 10.
To be perfectly honest i never rated him at all and definatly not in the pound 4 pound list in my opinion the are better boxers never named.
But that didnt happen so what the **** does it matter? And even a faded Tarver mangaged to re-win a title. Both him and Johnson have resume's. And Nonito is fighting in a stacked division right? What Vic did after his loss is what Nonito should have done.Somehow though with every Vic win it made Nonito look better..why not the same treatment for Dawson? So much stalk is put into P4P status but the list is VERY subjective and HEAVILY favors small fighters! Some people will say resume some will say it's skill.Of course you need a little of both which is why Dawson over Nonito!
