I was expecting an easy KO win for Arthur last Saturday but I was proved wrong by Dirrell's boxing ability, speed and movement. Shame it ended the way it did, I could see a KO win for AA(if the DQ didn't happen) but the result is what it is and Dirrell came away with the W having outboxed AA pretty handily.

So I'm holding my hand up and saying I got it wrong:(

I could also see IF AD didn't stop getting caught on the ropes AA could KO him but when we look back at those incidents when AD was on the ropes he was no where near being KO'ed and so I can't see that argument of a possible KO being on the way as relevent. But I guess we all entitled to an opinion.

So did i as i simply did not think Dirrell had the basic discipline that required him to beat Arthur, but he fought a great fight.

Yeah, I knew Dirrell had the tools but I didn't think he had the maturity. I was wrong too. Damn shame it had to end that way indeed.

Dirrell did a great job, its nice to see guy putting on a show for his fans at home, special night for him that he will never forget, AA was coming on strong but dirrell was still moving well so should have still been able to avoid him imo, but dirrell was stunned in the previous round but recovered

I knew it would be tougher for Abraham to hurt Dirrell. In addition to the height and reach advantage of Dirrell, he was constantly moving whether it's his body or head which made Abraham have to resort to throwing lunging arm punches where he couldn't sit on them like he usually does against opponents who are just standing there as sitting ducks.

I thought the tougher, stronger, more experienced puncher would win this match. I even lost a bet and give AD respect for his win.

AD actually learned from his Froch fight, adjusted to AA and fought a remarkably good fight. He outboxed AA handily (I had him 7-3 in rounds). He even managed to KD Abraham, which is no small feat.

Easy. Abraham had to wait for dirrell to slow down a little bit but it was too late. Dirrell had a big lead and AA was desperate. AA cannot deal with a fresh dirrell and would get a simular boxing lesson from dirrell and end up desperate late.

Well -- I'm eating crow too, but this is one time when I do not mind. I even deserve an extra helping! Why? Well -- on one of the Dirrell/Abraham threads I layed out exactly what I thought Dirrell would have to do, and then said; "That just does not sound like young Andre!" On fight night young Andre went out and did about 85-90% of the stuff I said he couldn't/wouldn't do.

I join you eating crow. I wasn't expecting Dirrell to improve that much compared to how he performed vs. Froch. He really looked awesome whereas Abe never changed his game plan.

As person who was rooting for Dirrell, I couldn't understand all the crying at the end. WTF?
