But here's the thing. The circumstances favored Ruslan (in retrospect). Bradley was coming off an injury, was rusty, and abandoned his game plan. Yet Ruslan still couldn't get the victory. Had he been given more time there's no doubt in my mind he would've KOed Bradley. But there were times when Bradley made it look easy when he focused/concentrated on boxing.

I don't think Roach is a bad trainer at all. I do think he's a bit overrated. I don't care how elite you are - if your strength is boxing and you're feather fisted like Bradley and you stand in front of a brawler you will make him look better than what he really is. I like Ruslan and I wish him the best but he's nothing more than a slow, plodding B level brawler. He can obviously prove me wrong if he improves. At this point I see him as the same fighter I've watched on FNF.

So tell me what was his gameplan if Bradley Boxed his ears off all night instead of standing and trading. I think Roach is an OK trainer and he did the best with the fighter he had (putting him in the position to win). However, if you seriously think that the outcome of the fight had more to do with How Prod fight plan was set up versus how Bradley had a chip on his shoulder and wanted to make a statement YDKSAB. I am not saying Prod is a bad fighter 9 I thought most people on here underrated him) or Bradley is such a great fight ( i always thought he was slightly overrated) but I am saying Bradley gave Prod the best chance to win the fight . . . and this is what the best case scenerio that Freddie was hoping for.

I think there was a perfect marriage between Pac and Roach and because of this it had masked the flaws in Roach's fighters. His fighters have been on a major losing streak as of late so I do not think he will not be winning trainer of the year this year. Freddie is very good but he is not great and i think this recent run only crystallizes that point.

Easy? How many fighters in the world have the defense to beat Bradley easy?

Roach did a great job preparing Ruslan with head movement. He was bobbing and weaving very well and in one of the mid rounds made Bradley fall short on nearly all of his punches as he was trying to box him.

Without defense Manny would have been knocked out by Cotto and Margarito, Khan wouldn't have become champion after the Prescott loss, and Chavez wouldn't have become champion.

Defense is useless and dysfunctional without offense and vice-versa.
