Lennox Lewis yes was a great fighter but Lennox was too big for his opponents, he really shouldn't have been allowed to compete in the heavyweight division. He should have been fighting in a super heavyweight division. It was a disgrace when he took on Mike Tyson. It was like a light heavyweight taking on a bantam weight, it was cheating really. Pound for pound any version of Tyson beats Lewis.

If we we're to take away Lewis's height and massive reach and instead make him into a 6ft fighter with a normal reach where would he be really? Probably not even in the top 100. Does a 6ft Lewis really stand a chance with Marciano, Ali or Louis? No of course he doesn't, pound for pound Lewis loses to all of the greats. Without his height and reach he has nothing really.

I won't put him there because he shamefully refused to grant vitaly
a deserved rematch like any other great heavy would've and has done
in a case where there was unfinished business.

:verysad Another **** post from another Klit fanatic. While I do think Lewis is overrated it has more to do with him beating very poor versions of Holyfield and Tyson. As for the Klits Vitali is the better of the 2 yet at his peak he lost to an old Lewis.

There was no unfinished business, Vitali could NOT take the torch from an overweight 38 yr old fighter, nothing more, nothing less.

What ATGs did the klits beat? How did he duck them? He was past prime when he beat Vitali, and Wlad was too busy getting embarrased by Sanders and Brewster.

Lewis didn't beat Holyfield and Tyson because they were poor versions he beat them because he was cheating with his size and weight. :-(

    Lewis 6ft 5 113kgs vs Tyson 5ft 10 106.1 kgs

    Lewis 6ft 5 111Kgs vs Holyfield 6ft 2 97 kgs

Why is this blatant cheating allowed in the sport? Pound for pound Lewis gets destroyed by both fighters.

:patsch Lewis struggled against a very old Holyfield who was well past his prime who than went on to struggle greatly with Ruiz. Tyson was SHOT when he met Lewis, years earlier tyson had beaten the hell out of Golota, Saverese, and Francis, all similar in size to Lewis, yet shortly after fighting Lewis he lost to Williams and McBum.

If Lewis was the size of Rocky Merciano he wouldn't even be in the top 1000 ATG heavyweights..

Get this through your thick skull, there has always been VERY BIG HWs, even 100 years ago, they had men 6'6 fighting, save your revisionist butt hurt Klit threads for other Klit fanatics.

I remember Manny Steward admitting that Lewis used his size against his opponents!

It doesn't matter if Tyson was shot, even a shot Tyson pound for pound destroys Lewis with ease. This is the point, Lewis can't fairly be compared with real Heavyweights like Tyson and Frazier. Which is why he has to be considered amongst the ATG 'super' heavyweights. I have him in my top 3.
