The sport def needs to be revamped.... but the only major changes really need to be

Most of boxing under one roof....
    - Obviously theres going to still be a lot of independant boxing going on in 3rd world countries and stuff... but instead of having so many fractions to boxing, have boxing under one roof, with both showtime and HBO showing the fights, they just have to bid on what fights they want... ect, ect. But this way there is NOTHING getting in the way of matchups... the champion will always face guys in the top 5 or so of his weight class,

Also, when boxing is under one roof, marketing, managing, promoting and selling it will become a million times easier, meaning...

Shirts of Cotto, Vargas, Pac, Haye, ect... could be sold in stores, you could go to the store and rent/buy a legendary nights type dvd on your favorite fight, you could buy boxing posters like you can ufc posters at the mall, ect, ect.... it then becomes a product you can sell, which = recognition, which = sells

Also if all fighters were under one roof it would be easier for things like (and this is something that i think is a good idea)
    - Fighter of the year - gets an extra $$$$ bonus
    - Fight of the year - The fighters involved get an extra $$$ bonus

ect, ect... have year end awards that get rewarded

you need ONE champion per weight class..... i really dont have a problem with the weight classes themselves..... i think each class is fairly independant and produces champions that are unique to its weightclasses....

    - Smaller gloves. Nothing is worse then to tune into a matchup and see the guys fighting with what looks like pillows on their hands. This is boxing, its a brutal sport.... smaller gloves will get more respect, and add more entertainment to boxing. All fights under light heavy should be fought with 8oz gloves at the most imo.

    So

    - Under one roof for the most part
    - One champion per weight class
    - smaller gloves
    - More awards to boxers

I think all would bring boxing back to the king of combat sports.

only 1 champ per weight divison wud make it so much better, coz its a bit **** that you dont hav to be the best to have a world title, u just need to be 1 of the best, like people like valuev being champ is a disgrace
