It really is abundantly simple. those who deride matthew hatton for his loss to watson probably haven't seen his career since. I'm not saying matthew is world class yet. but if he beats his mandatory, then witter, it will set him up for a huge matchup with brook. and if he does overcome that, the you can't argue with his credentials. tbh in terms of world ratings, he has easily cracked the top 30 in my eyes. he is a couple of wins away from a top 10 ranking. i imagine he will beat the next euro-bum. and him vs witter is a toss up. it will be a tough fight, people dont shine against witter, he has only lost to judah, bradley and alexander, and none looked good in the process. But the likelihood is, he will face witter early next year, and if he defeats him, it really is time to take matthew hatton seriously.
I've seen 2 of his fights and this recent KO. I can't think of a title holder he would stand a chance against. Maybe he should fight a gatekeeper in the states.
He will suddenly become one of the best fighters of the world right after he get a contract to fight Floyd.
well from what i hear he is after senchenko. as i said, i think its too early to say. but if he does beat witter then he probs will have a top 10 ranking. and if he somehow overcomes brook, well it would be silly to write him off vs senchenko IMO
He's a good fighter. I think because he got a few too many chances on the big stage, he tended to get underrated by a lot of fans who were sick of seeing him. He is a pretty good fighter now though and I hope he gets a chance to prove people wrong.
i always find that weird. people hold it against him that he got opposrtunities, but would they turn downj those same opportunities? i doubt it.
no matthew hatton is not good.he has fought noone and that bulge guy was a disgrace and people give him credit for it.his fights consist of rabbit punch and then clinch followed by clinch. he seriously has no attributes except for delusion (if that counts)

If they ever brought The Contender back and featured welterweights, Hatton would win that. Or maybe a Prizefighter trophy. Still, that man will never hold a title.
his recent run of form is quite impressive. he is definitely a top 30 fighter atm. and he is only a few wins away from a big fight. eurobum, witter then brook. if he comes through them 3, then yes, it is time to take him seriously
Saul Alvarez could be fighting him in the new year and I think Saul will put him to sleep. So that will probably be the highlight of his career getting hammered by canelo.
