well ive been boxing for a little less than a year and latley ive been having no luck with my weight but everything else has been good. I usually weigh 155. I just weighed myself in at 172. I am only 5''9 tall. I have been gaining weight out of the blue ever since 2 months ago. I am not eating bad or fast food. I am training and alot. One thing I did notice is that I am not sweating much as hard as I work out and run, I am not sweating much at all. I do recall going into a sauna about a month ago and ever since that day I have noticed my body having lots of water in it. I was wondering if its possible to sauna the wrong way and end up gaining water weight instead of loosing it due to saunaing the wrong way? I decided I am not going back to the gym unless I weigh atleast 165. I feel disgusted of myself. I am really really disapointed and concidering quiting if I cant loose this weight in timely order. Please and I mean please help me out guys

my week of workout consits of this

    thursday:boxing gym same as tuesday
friday:run 3-4 miles, ab work, muscle endurance

What do you need to lose weight for? If you feel good and you are in good shape then it really doesn't matter. Everybody is different and unless you need to be at a specific weight for a fight there is no sense in agonizing over a stupid number on a scale.

You could be gaining muscle, which weighs more than fat. Don't try to sweat it off or drain water, that's just silly. Your workout schedule looks good. Just keep it up and keep eating healthy and your body will naturally even out to a weight that is healthy for you.

well the main thing is is that when im at 155-160 I feel extremely fast and i feel great and I have better stamina and speed at that weight. but now when im 165-172 and I workout or spar I get tired way too fast and everything seems 40000 times harder like running and everything else. I also feel fat and out of shape at this weight.

What is your diet and your sleep schedule like? Do you have a lot of stress in your life?

How old are you? People change shape as they get older, stick thin teenagers become musclemen, fat kids lose the baby fat. If you're 85 years old you might have a problem, if you're 16 its probably a growth spurt

If I remember correctly, you're about 17-18, right? You could be filling out, especially now that you are eating healthy and working out. Plus, stress can really mess with your body.

My advice would be to try to find ways to de-stress and keep up with the work outs and healthy eating and see where you are at in a few months. Don't obsess over the scale, if you must weigh yourself, limit it to once a week, in the morning.

Try to relax, I'm sorry to hear about the family stress too.
Take care of your self as best you can.
