Remember Hagler commentating Toney-McCallum I? He was all prepared to give his belt or the Ring belt to the winner in a symbolic gesture and what happens? They get a draw!

:good or even (december)1968-(april)1971 when he got a gift against a Spanish journeyman Corpas who then got knocked out by the other champion Arcari. Locche of course never fought Arcari.

I was considering arcar's claim but he never seemed to earn it on merit for me.

What evidence do you have to back up your claim he got a gift against corpas?

recognised champion, meh In this day and age it takes a lot to make a universally undisputed champion so it depends on who is recognising who I suppose.

The difference here is that I don't believe schulz becomes the best in the world for beating foreman; I believe the claim gets usurped when bowe kicks arse in 95.

But yes in principle it is hard work and why shouldn't it be? but no way in hell am I calling toney the best mw in the world when he's just got clearly beaten by tiberi.

How anyone can watch that fight and think "yeah he's the best out there" is beyond me.

I've also decided that witteris getting the nod when he beat harris.

Hatton was doing his thing against castillo and that's fine but then he only has 1 fight against floyd for quite a long period. Combine that with how impressive witter's finish was and the horrible duck that hatton did, I think it's fair to promote witter.

It's such a tragedy that thos two never met, I appreciate ricky chasing the floyd fight but there's almost a year where the two were right at the precipe and never met, solely because of ricky's arrogance.

Elementary, my dear Watson. Unfortunately boxing, but there is no concrete evidence if that's what you mean, which is true for Locche's career as a whole. We have the trailer but not the movie.

And why McGirt and not Roger Mayweather who was rated higher at the time?

Not concrete evidence, but whatever you have to base your claim on; i'm intrigued.

Feb 1988 should answer your questions, I think that's when buddy climbed to the top of the tree.
