The most obvious is probably the 70s heavyweight division. But what were some other divisions that had elite guy's,real depth and serious names?
Middleweight - late 80's to early 90's - Jackson, Graham, Nunn, Toney, RJJ, young Hopkins. So from 1988-1993 ish. Light-heavyweight in from mid 1940's until 1952 or so - Charles, Moore, Bivins, Maxim, Marshall etc.

HW from 1930-1942 had the best top 100 a division has ever and will ever have. Best top 75, best top 125 probably the best 50 but theres some more competition for that one. MW in the 1910s had like half the division claim a title after Ketchel died. So it was on fire. The fire was so bad alphabet bodies were born in the ashes.
it wasnt seen that way at first, In fact, Foreman was seen as an interloper. all the talk was Ali vs Frazier. the public didnt care for Foreman, in fact, I think they hated him. So did the press Norton, Lyle, Young, Quarry, a leftover from the 1960s, made it interesting

Bantamweights. 1915-1922: Kid Williams, Pete Herman, Joe Lynch, Bud Taylor and whole bunch of other good guys. Will probably never be equalled. Close thought was the Jofre/Harada era. And there will never be another.
