The monzon and greb story's, I'd never heard before scartissue. Very interesting tales your telling here. U can imagine those occasions really messing with the boxers in question minds. I seem to recall Tommy hearns brother been either shot or involved in a shooting just before one of his fights. I'll have to dig it out. Not sure if he won or lost the fight. Some times tragedy can actually spur a fighter on, which of course could alter fights out comes. But once again St, great stuff!

I'm not sure Bowe was going to win, but he was certainly starting to hit his stride more when Fan Man came crashing in. Holyfield looked great, and might have won anyways, but it certainly changed the momentum of the fight.

It was his brother Henry who shot his girlfriend before the second SRL fight, Ferg.

Greb likely wasn't very affected by being served prior to Flowers either by Mason or the womans husband. They had already been trying to serve him for a while and had just missed him a couple of times so he likely expected it. Getting served by the man likely wasn't unexpected either and Greb had a pretty solid case showing that it was a shakedown so he probably wasn't worrying too much about it. Age was the thing that got to Greb that night.

A good pick would be Harold Johnson-Mederos. Johnson had already beaten Mederos once fairly handily this time he ran afoul of a supposedly poisoned orange and got knocked out.

Michael Spinks had this attitude. He showed incredible composure with
Braxton unification fight . 2 months before longtime girlfriend who was the
mother of his 2 yr daughter had died in a car accident . On fight night Spinks
daughter unaware that her mother had died walked into Spinks locker room
and asked when would mother show up to see the fight. Spinks broke down
and cried. Spinks regained his composure and defeated a very dangerous
    Braxton on pts.

Margarito getting caught with the loaded wraps had him of his game against Mosley, the only time he was knocked out.

Least you're still up after midnight on a school night, Ferg. Still a bit of rock n roll in the old dog yet.

Not sure if t his is exactly what Fergy had in mind, but I for one, would love to know the exact details of what was going on with Golota in the hours leading up to the Lewis bout.
