Times You've Rooted For A Fighter You Usually Root(ed) Against

    The old phrase from The Godfather "sometimes the enemy of my enemy is my friend" rings true in boxing often. Sometimes in boxing, we find ourselves rooting for a guy we typically root against.

    Has this happened to you? When?

    For me, I would love to cheer Mayweather on against Khan. I rooted for him against Hatton mainly because I didn't want a bunch for drunken Hatton fans rampaging through Vegas. Mayweather's ring walk that night was the icing on the cake.

    Something weird got into me in the Garcia vs Judah fight and I found myself actually rooting for Judah... kind of ashamed to admit that.

    Yeah I rooted for Judah too. He lifted us up. It's easy to root for a guy that you may not have liked or rooted for that has changed or become the underdog.

    I rooted for Floyd against Judah, dlh, Guerrero. I rooted for Judah against Garcia. Ill root for Paulie against boner.

    I hear you. It seems to me I'm always cheering for the underdog lately.. usually leads to much disappointment when all is said and done.

    I was still more inspired than anything by Judah's final three round rally against Garcia. Considering how badly he got hurt, and put down it felt almost miraculous.
