Timing negating speed.

    JMM used him timing to get in between Pac's punches. He did not use it to stop/negate Pac's offense.

    You could say Winky negated Mosley's speed. Mosley couldn't do anything with it. The timing of Winky's jab made it impossible for Mosley to get off. But Marquez got hit too much by Pac and clearly couldn't handle the speed.

    If your reflexes are good enough to get out of the way of a fast fighter, or to block in time, that would also be negating it.
