I think Thurman has the experience to last the distance in a bad fight. But yes I fully expect him to lose.

Wow ! a match the sanctioning body is embarrassed to call a title fight? Shocked I am.

    Hmmm, this article states :

    https://www.sportingnews.com/au/box...time-odds-price-card/047d8c17b816d5f452dbdde7

"The WBO belt will not be on the line in this fight, as the WBO will not sanction a fight where Thurman hasn’t fought at super welterweight since he turned pro. It doesn’t bother the 35-year-old, ready to return to action."

This article's title is "Why a nontitle bout against Thurman might be what Tszyu needed most" :

    https://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_...u-star-making-opportunity-keith-thurman-fight

It also states that it will be contested at a 155-lb catchweight :

"The WBO declined to sanction the fight for Tszyu's junior middleweight title, presumably because Thurman has never competed at the 154-pound limit and hasn't scored a victory in two years. Tszyu and Thurman will meet 1 pound above at 155 since Tszyu would have to fight a WBO-ranked opponent if he were to fight at junior middleweight."

Coppinger's been wrong before, but there's a good amount of articles saying it's a 155-lb catchweight non-title fight. According to him, it's at 155 lbs because he would have to fight a WBO ranked contender at JMW in order to fight in that weight class.

    https://www.sportskeeda.com/mma/new...vs-keith-thurman-fight-longer-wbo-title-fight

"The WBO declined to sanction Tim Tszyu vs. Keith Thurman as a title fight."

    https://www.ringnews24.com/2024/02/...ters-to-put-their-money-where-their-mouth-is/

"WBO junior middleweight champion Tim Tszyu 24-0 (17) might be undefeated, but there are still critics who think that he will come undone in his 155-pound non-title fight against former WBC and WBA welterweight champion Keith Thurman 30-1 (22) when they meet at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 30."

By the way, if it's at a 155-lb catchweight, we better start hearing everyone criticizing Tim for not fighting a 154-lber, for creating his own 155-lb weightclass.

The WBO is notoriously far stricter than the other sanctioning bodies, when it comes to stripping fighters for not defending within a certain amount of time, and apparently for only allowing defenses against fighters ranked in the weight class.

The 155lb weight class was already created and patented. Tim and Keith are fighting at caneloweight

Seriously, if you are going to execute the guy there are more humane ways of doing it than putting him in a ring with Tim Tszyu.

Tszyu by late stoppage. Thurman will gas out down the stretch and get caught.

    Timofei??

Anyway, We've seen Thurman seriously hurt to the body by both Collazo & Pacquiao. Tim is a very good body puncher, and I can see him possibly scoring a body shot KO in this one, somewhere around the 8th round if I had to guess.
